Everywhere I go on holiday i see national flags flying, suppose they are just reminding themselves where they live also
Well nearly 5000 died the year before so I would assume that if you take the heat away from them more would die.
There’s flags and there’s flags. No ones offended by a flag but when they’re used like dogs pissing on lamp posts to make a statement by a bunch of hateful little flag shaggers our flags are essentially disrespected by those said people. It’s exactly this in the past that tarnished them. They should do something that helps their neighbours instead and give us more to be proud of. The union was literally a celebration of partnership across difference. If there’s a 17 foot one above an Asian shop it’s wrong. Many Indians ironically use the flags more than I ever would.
Certainly the US and given the batshit crazy bloke they elected as president obviously some do. The ones I have seen left up are all tattered and look a mess with the cheap cable ties - very classy. The councils will sooner or later have to address this eyesore and the nuggets who put them up will be the first complaining about other council work not being carried out as resources are diverted.
I haven’t been a member of a union but they have a job to do for their members whether we like it or not and if it wasn’t for the unions working conditions in this country would still be in the dark ages but I’m sure that will not stop your union bashing matey.

Yawn Yawn Yawn, I was a member of a union my whole working life but as once told by my conveyor "what would you prefer to lose, 10% of work force or 100 %. It's the public sector unions that want to take the country back to Victorian times hence the crap expensive services on offer to the British people now.
Well your the union fella not me so your to blame for all the country’s ills. Speak as you find, we had to use the nhs for an elderly relative recently, at an ungodly hour, and the service was excellent. That said under the last Labour government we had the shortest nhs waiting lists in history and under the last Tory government we had the longest nhs waiting lists in history so I think that has little to do with the unions. Hopefully this new labour government sorts out the mess the admistrative tories created and invests. The alternative is Farage and a dismantled nhs at his backers bidding. Il be fine because I can afford private medical insurance but millions in this country won’t be as fortunate as me.
So stereotypical whataboutry there. I see no need whatsoever to fly Palestine or Hamas flags, certainly Hamas is abhorrent. However, lets be honest we know why people are putting up flags buts its good to see the English flag flying promoting multiculturalism with the Turkish fella St George.
Can never fault the front line NHS or all other services, it is the top heavy and middle layers that need culling, too many pen pushers getting involved in things that don't concern them to keep themselves in a job.
Too many NHS services now provided by private contractors so too much funding going out in profits rather than into service provision.
The US has always been a flag flying nation. Nothing wrong with that, they are proud of their country and want to show it by flying, maintaining, and respecting the colours of the nation on their homes and businesses. In a lot of ways I respect and admire that. Compare and contrast to the poundshop cretins who tied cheap and flimsy flags, at what appears to be half mast, to lamp posts over here and now just leave them to be ripped to pieces by the weather. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad and disrespectful.
