Before you all want to release Pandur in a free. We wouldn’t be in this league without him.

Pandur is a solid championship GK who made a couple of mistakes and got caught out on one

He’s not the concern. We are threadbare and just don’t have a bench currently

So what are you saying the players should have done in that instance then? Pandur called it wrong and couldn't get there in time, at least without slipping so we saw how that worked out... And you're saying a clearance for a throw in wouldn't have worked (which is wrong), so what do you think they should have done between them?

Or he could have just played it into touch or for a corner

If we did he wouldn't start and he has more than a few mistakes in him from some of the highlights of Donny games I've seen.
Pandur is fine, we could improve but financially not able.
Best action available is a better quality back up or better coaching.
Of our last few keepers id say Rushworth was the best with pandur second ahead of Allsopp.

There is definitely some improvement there from Joseph. There were a couple of deft little lay offs tonight that I haven’t seen from him before, which were worthy of a better player. He’s still very raw but is getting better and is definitely helping us through this spell with so many of our first choice attacking options unavailable through injury.
His work rate is phenomenal, so if he can improve his all round game, he could become a real handful at this level.

He showed it again right at the end, he really should have come and claimed that long ball into the box but stayed on his line and the enemy almost got on the end of it. That was his ball all day long but after that mistake a few minutes earlier he hesitated and left it.

**** way to drop points, we were the better side over the 90. Still, it happens. Pandur dropped a bollock, Ajayi might have done a bit better, either way we're not getting a new keeper in the short term, Ajayi won't be blackballed he's too good. They'll both be beating themselves up over this and might be the better for it. We'll brace up and go again on Saturday, 3 points and we're back in the game.

I agree, but I think we need to try for January if at all possible.

Eustace 'proud' of Salvesen's winner - reaction
Derby County boss John Eustace told BBC Radio Derby:

"I thought first half we were excellent. We were playing against a really good team that had been six unbeaten, and who had a couple of really good wins.

"In the second half we lost our way a little bit, we dropped too deep. But it's about the squad and we found a way in the second half to make sure we got the three points.

"I thought the way we defended the box was excellent, Jake [Widell Zetterstrom] made a couple of top saves. And when you are going through difficult moments you have to defend with your life, and we certainly did that in the second half.

"I'm really proud of Lars [Salvesen] scoring. He has obviously been through a lot since he has been at the football club and he has worked his absolute socks off to get into a position to challenge Carlton [Morris] and to get onto the bench. I thought he took his goal very well."

Oh well, we were going to lose at some stage and at least it was because of an individual error and not because we were played off the park. If you'd offered any of us 22 points from 14 games before the season kicked off I reckon we'd all have taken that. One defeat doesn't make us a bad team and I'm looking forward to seeing if we can put it right on Saturday. As someone said above somewhere, we are enjoyable to watch for the first time in a while.

We've played a lot worse than that and picked up points. We're at the right end of the table despite missing most of our best players through injury. All in all, it's not terrible.

Teams lose games, unless you're one of the fake daytripper clubs.

We've won a lot of tight games recently including some we arguably shouldn't have, and tonight we've lost one we probably shouldn't have. Can't complain too much at that.

Pandur shouldn't have come out or should have cleared it. If he hadn't come out semi could play back to him to switch to Egan or Hughes or punt long.

Pandur can't sit on his line in that instance whether he tries to take charge of the situation or simply act as the plan B. He did try to clear it but he both misjudged it, and slipped. He's at fault for it. Ajayi does have more options though... At the point Pandur removed himself as a passing option he could have put the ball out for a throw in, he could have touched it wide for Pandur to run onto and then clear, he could at the very least have held his ground and got in the way of the attacker, but he just stepped out of the way and left it wide open to run onto. He wasn't aware he had a man closing it down is the crux of the issue, but to be fair to both of them when that ball comes through there's initially no Derby player anywhere near it - which also makes the whole thing a lot worse when you watch it back.

If Ajayi does play it safe and puts it out for a throw in there's no way Derby can take that quickly enough to cause us a direct problem. They took loads of long throws all night and we dealt with them pretty well. It's just one of those unfortunate things that we move on from, but Ajayi putting that out for a throw in isn't bonkers. What happened was definitely more bonkers. It's a combination of poor judgement from Pandur and poor awareness from Ajayi.

He stepped out of the way to give Pandur space to kick into.. if he hadn't moved Pandur could/would have kicked it into him resulting in the same outcome. I just don't see a world where Ajayi doing what his keeper tells him to do is in the wrong.

Derby were jammy - really lucky. We were all over them that 2nd half and they had wilted like cut flowers. We couldn’t get the winner, but to lose was harsh and bizarre, especially the way it happened. Overall, we were the better side, but occasionally luck and a bad split second decision goes against you. Still a great team performance in defeat and Drameh looked like a world beater. Superb shift from him.
