I knew he’d miss that. Lack of confidence in general, the stuttered run up, the desperation to score…
****ing hope so, should never have signed him in the first place. The most obvious flop of a signing we could’ve made. Utterly dreadful player. Can’t wait to get shot of him.
That useless Pigeon really was the only downside to the game. Johnson’s red didn’t even really bother us. Get shot of him. Won’t read too much into the performance though because Copenhagen are probably the equivalent to a top half Championship side, just hope we can at least take the momentum into the Utd game if nothing else.
Tom Carroll for Bale. Vertonghen for Sonny. Palhinha for van de Ven. 3 of the best assists you could ever witness. Footballing art.
It has to be said that the opposition were absolutely dreadful and we should have scored another 5 . But yes, it must surely be a confidence boost for the weekend....(He said, not really believing it himself)
yep. His time at spurs comes as no surprise to any of us. When we signed him we all questioned his 6-ish goals a season not being enough, and lo and behold our fears have come to fruition. It’s utterly astonishing that we paid why we paid for him. Every man and his dog knew how this would turn out. It’s not too dissimilar with Solanke, IMO either. Been absolutely conned by 1 decent season at Bournemouth. Again, spunked stupid amounts, when we should have learnt from the evidence we had to hand from the Richarlison signing.
Solanke isn't worth what we paid for him, no question. But what I like about him and on recent showings RKM too (even though both will miss far more than they score) is their all-round play. Both make excellent runs, hold the ball up well, force the opposition into mistakes and bring others into play. By contrast Richarlison doesn't do any of that. In fact I couldn't describe one positive attribute of his and I remain convinced that he won some sort of Make a Wish competition for impoverished Brazilian children to become professional footballers.
