Surprising, he’s a cut above this division, did think he would push on there. Would have to think a promoted or struggling side would be willing to pay money to have him in January.
Are we ready for a winter transfer thread! It will never happen, but could you imagine if we pulled off carvalho! AWOOGA FACT!
Fabio’d problem is his lack of willingness to move , he wants the ball to his feet he’s not prepared to move enough for it . That won’t suit Brentford , he might suit us because he’s technically good , he’s a bit Tufan without the running .
So what's the plan? Get him up to speed in the next couple of weeks? Play half a dozen games for Maribor building up game time? Loan to City on January 1st?
I reckon he comes here Jan, makes too much sense. We have a matchday loan spot free, we'd be able to get him on a no fee loan, and freeing up wages from shifting Palmer will mean the EFL should approve
It's what they did with Karol Borys didn't they? Got Westerlo to send him to Maribor two seasons running so that he can get experience in a top flight and then get a work permit before us signing him next Summer. I would expect to see both Zambrano and Borys come in at some point in the next 12 months.
Hull City to run rule over UCD midfielder amid interest from a host of Championship sides - Irish Mirror We've invited 18 year old UCD midfielder Adam Brennan over for a trial, he'll come over once international duty with NI U19s is done. 9 goals and 12 assists in men's football, even in the Irish First Division, is good going.
it really is, and it seems top players in the irish league are at a minimum, league two standard so for an 18 year old, so much potential there
Zambrano shouldn't have the work permit issue though should he? We'll have to wait and see I suppose, exciting to have some obvious long term planning with young players though. That makes Borys, Zambrano, Carrero and Laalaoui by my count who are all lined up to come here.
We seem to do well with the Irish connection. Got to wonder with younger players if seeing us have McShane, Meyler, Brady etc. has helped us there.
