Genuinely sad it didn't work out for him will here. Said all the right things but just couldn't get the players playing
Feel a bit sad, to be honest. Not because I want Still to stay, but it's the thought of yet another SR managerial masterclass. I just dread what they're going to put us through this time.
Shame it didn't work out, a young and up and coming manager is what most fans want for their club. Need a manager now that will steady the ship, on and off the pitch. No rushing into a long term appointment, please.
We said that with Will Still. How many chances do SR get ? The people who decided he was a good fit need to be binned too.
Objectively he has run out of road but as always there’s a human being with a young family caught in the cross hairs of the most deadly of critical analysis in sport. Yes he’s chosen that path but if his dismissal is confirmed then I wish him well for the future and hope that he’s not too scarred by his time with us. SR bear the responsibility for this as do the players who simply fail to show the urgency or nous to get the Club up to where it belongs. He’s a decent guy and unfortunately, did not fully appreciate the challenge he was taking on.
It's often that said that boards don't care when fans chant against the manager but will do when they chant against them.
Had 8 months to plan this season and ended up with a manager sacked on 2nd November. Even for SR that's impressively bad.
