Does he need to? Why take a salary from a company you own a large shareholding of and also have an amassed fortune of about a £1Billion.
Yeah but I think he actually looks at the bigger picture, as I've argued over several months on here the man is not stupid. He's also not the money grabbing git everyone would like to make him out to be. Obviously if there's a good deal to be done he'll do it, if he thinks it's for the best he'll do it but I don't think it's entirely controlled by his own personal pursuit of financial gain.
I would be inclined to agree with this. People will say, "Oh, he will sell any player if he gets an offer", but there's no evidence to suggest this. He has never sold a key player for less than their value in the transfer market, often other teams have paid over the odds for our players eg Bassong, Milner, Carroll, Martins. I don't think any of our key players would be sold unless it's a huge offer thats well above their value.
He let Barton go on a free when he probably raised a couple of mill out of the deal, personally think he just want rid of Barton and his twitter twatter though as some have said it was effecting the dressing room.
barton was your typical scouse gobshite ,ma likes having money he is a fat business man and a cockney **** aswell he would sell his granny for a £5er
