And an end product, he has produced literally end product, since Stewart has come back into the side he has already created more goalscoring chances than Brady has already. Not one of us thinks Brady is ready for the PL, yet Townsend could easily play in the lower levels of the PL.
when taking a player on loan you have to look at the overall picture. Brady fits in much better already and i doubt that Townsend would want to leave the south. Brady is a real talent thats gone off the boil, that IMO, NP could not improve but Barmby will. Lets see how Brady performs in the 4 games left before the window opens up.
I agree completely and i would keep Brady as i doubt Townends would come either, however my point was that Townsend is a better player which he is.
i agree at this moment in time. But my previous posts stand, IMO, especially once Barmby has sprinkled his magic dust over Brady. lol.
I think you have a point, NB seems to have an affinity with players, and I am sure he will get the best out of him, if we manage to extend his loan spell untill the end of the season.
yes...i shall be more surprised if City dont get Brady for the season. But with NB reputation as a player at the top level for many a year and his footballing brain still working as well as ever - Brady will learn so much more from him than NP. i mean lets face it. NP as a player was an above average centre half at best. how can he coach Brady in attacking play ? i think the 3 game ban will have got Brady back on track and focussed. i feel its gonna be a long afternoon for the Millwall defenders 2moz.
NB might teach our players how to leech money out of a club while watching your home team in your executive box whilst you should be playing reserve games, and to move from your current employers to their arch rivals.
I hadn't thought of this, but it could be a real possibility. Pearson likes to play with wingers, Leicester have none and he will be easier to snatch than Stewart. He'd still be better off staying here without all the unecessary pressure though. I do find it weird that Bostock has just stayed there for a year doing nothing. It didn't work out for him with us but he's obviously a good player, he could make a huge difference to a League 1 side. It annoys me that City players can so quickly become crap in the eyes of our fans. Brady was our best player in the first few months of the season, and he's had a difficult last month but that doesn't make him **** permanently. As for him having no end product? That's just stupid. He's fast and tricky so it's easy to quickly assume he must be crap at crossing but in reality he puts better balls in than anyone else in our squad (the same argument applies to Theo Walcott and it's equally untrue with him). Brady will come good again just like Gulacsi has (though like with Gulacsi, some fans won't want to see it).
I think most people have been commenting on how much Gulacsi has improved lately. I'm pleased for the lad. With Basso injured he has the opportunity of making the keepers position his own. He's grabbed that opportunity, and managed not to drop it
Leicester are interested in Brady, but will look to buy him out right and not loan him - that's the whisper coming out of the KP. They are also chasing Motherwell midfielder Chris Humphries. Brady enjoys it here, as a loan player he has no loyalty to us or to NP, but he's with friends here and enjoys the area, so why would he leave all that and drop down the league?
Magic dust - are you high or something? Only joking. Anyway in my opinion Townsend is definitely a better player than Brady. He may not be as skilful however he is quicker, more powerful and most importantly more effective. Brady's had a couple of good games however has been carried by the team in plenty of other games.
Wages wouldn't be the stumbling block for Leicester, it's the fact that Man U won't let him leave permanently. NP was told this when he was with us, so it begs to question, why is he bothering now?
If Man United have watched his last few games, they'll probably be quite happy to flog him. I can't believe we got Stewart for £300k, Man United kept the wrong one.
