We didn't allow Debayo to leave. We offered him a new improved contract and he turned it down to go on a free. He is currently without a club which is crazy.
Exactly, Aaronson upsets a lot of teams by his work rate but he was flattered by a really bad West Ham, I still wouldn't drop him though. As for Calvert Lewin he doesn't offer anything that Joseph didn't offer and more.

I agree. I can’t quite work out why, the standard of play is often high. I think it’s because of the stench of money that is everywhere. it’s not that in the good old days all the players were local, half the great Revie team were non English (though not many from outside England Scotland Ireland). It’s more they stayed at the club their whole career, it was their club like it’s the fans club. I don’t really know, none of it feels real to me, the badge kissing, the ridiculous transfer fees and wages, the agents putting out stories to negotiate even more for their players, dodgy owners who either leverage club purchases and saddle the club with huge debts, or dodgy owners who treat the club as a PR exercise for their other interests, spending rules designed to maintain the status quo at the top, good players at poorer clubs being bought by rich clubs to bench warm and screw their careers, the list goes on.

Can I add to that the style of modern football is brutal. Every team plays the same possession football, walking it out from the back, keeper short kick outs, nobody can take a decent shot from 18 yards, wingers seldom take on and beat a defender, tackles not allowed the list goes on. It’s too sterile. I watched highlights of a Leeds scum game from the nineties. One of our goals was a long punt from our keeper, a flick on that yeboah ran onto and buried. Start to finish took about five seconds. In today’s game the keeper and defenders would be fanning about for two minutes.
