Maybe a combination of a pub lunch, my heart pills and a bit wide eyed optimism but why not! We are playing well, the manager is focused and enthusiastic. We have an exceptional defence.
Nobody so far predicting we will go down, which is a real testament to the player’s performance in the opening quarter of the season.
We started the season as second favourites to be relegated. The bookies now have us 13th favourite with odds longer than they are giving on Leicester
I don’t want to tempt fate but I think NJ is too good an organiser to see us go down. We are so well drilled as a side. Only a massive crop of injuries to key players could see us go down.
This season has 11th written all over it. That would constitute a fine season, especially if we get a nice day out in the FA Cup.
Essential that Lloyd Jones, Docherty & Coventry stay fit. The spine of this team, having already lost Edwards. What are people’s thoughts on Knibbs ? I haven’t been that impressed.
I think the likes of Knibbs and Rankin-Costello will play their parts as the season progresses. They are decent players, no doubt. If Jones thought them worth a punt, then that's good enough for me.
