Yes - we need to win our next 3 before the international break to pile pressure on Liverpool and City (and others) - take advantage of the fact we came through a tough opening 6 weeks.
Hopefully some villa magic in their next two games before City and Liverpool take points off each other early November.
Liverpool next 4: away to Brentford home vs Villa away to City home vs Forest City next 4: away to Villa home vs Bournemouth home vs Liverpool away to Newcastle Us next 4: Home vs Palace away to Burnley away to Sunderland Home vs Spurs You never know where pts will be won and lost - but the next 4 is certainly an opportunity for us to create a decent gap.
I feel like the media has gotten worse in recent years. The reaction to Liverpools loss is WAY over the top IMO. It's still early in the Season and it's only 4 pts. Everyone has to be either amazing or in crisis. Can they all just calm the **** down? My wife's German and her family are Bayern Fans - the media over there is soo much better they actually have real sport journalism - not this tabloid clickbait culture we've developed.
Its all simply click bait now and driving traffic - TBH its the same with all 'journalism'. There is no professional reporting on anything.
Liverpool lose again. 3-2 to Brentford! The ref tried his best to gift Liverpool a result as well. Played 11 mins of an alotted 7 mins extra time. (7 was already too much) and gave Liverpool a corner for the keeper holding the ball an 2 extra seconds than allowed.. I mean c'mon.
Yeah it's the new rule - not seen it implemented until now.. Apparently the keeper can't hold the ball longer than 8 seconds or some nonsense. This is deep into extra time as well. A game without injuries - 7 mins off extra time was already too much but he didn't blow the whistle until 11 mins in. ****ing absurd.
Man City have Villa, Newcastle, Dortmund and Liverpool in the next few weeks. Hopefully they can drop some points and we can gain some distance from them.
It was 12 minutes and actually heading towards 13 according to BBC. There was an injury delay that the start of injury time when Tiago went down. BUT, 7 minutes was a crazy amount of time to begin with - taking it to 12 was a clear case of cheating for Liverpool. As you say, not only did the ref keep playing on, he was doing everything he possibly could to ensure Liverpool had possession and chances in that late period of play.
