I don’t care what the table says. Ipswich were a Premiership side last season, we were a League one side. Hull is always a difficult game away from home.

 

Problem is Olaofe is no better

 

I think a fit and firing Godden would make a difference. But today is not a day to get on players backs. We have shown a lot of grit and tenacity to get back into the game.

He scored the winner at Sheff Utd with a great finish, but hasn’t had any opportunities. Leaburn is a carthorse. Invisible again today. We would have comfortably won that with better quality up front, Campbell alone missed 4 chances.

 

Unfair to call Leaburn a cart horse. Didn’t he score on Tuesday?

 

With the exception of his goal against the blades he’s shown nothing since pre season

 

Problen is he’s 35 & clearly susceptible to injury.

Fantastic spirit from the players today, but there are frustrations around favouring starters who are not up to it.

 

Campbell, Leaburn and Kelman WILL NOT score 15 goals between them this season.

 

Yep, I goal this season in the league. Overall he’s been poor, today he was invisible.

 

He's got to be playing first.

Not really, all three will still be playing for Charlton, they are going nowhere.

Lets look at the positives today -

Outstanding away support, that won’t have been cheap,

Fantastic spirit & battling qualities,

Good individual performances from many.

 

Missed 4 chances. 3 of which were very decent, 2 of which were frankly easy.

He’s not good enough.

 

Not forgetting we he got a point against one of the two best sides in the Championship.

 

Hull are not one of the best two sides in the Championship.

We are up to 6th - fantastic.

 

I agree Godden is not in the first flush of youth. But he is the best finisher at the Club by a country mile. If one of the Campbell chances would have fallen to s fit Godden he would have tucked at least one away.
