Wakey But remember when we signed Paynter Grayson was saying he was as good as Becchio! I would rather we kept him than we let Grayson try & replace him with shirt buttons or magic beans or what ever Bates is going to give him. Also I like Becchio in the air, in the box at least
Who cares how he scores goals as long as he does it? He works hard, provides for other players and has a dependable strike rate. This season he's started two games, scored two goals and made two assists. Anyone in the top five goalscorers last season has to be classed as one of the best players in the division. And he's class at finishing in the air and on the ground when he's in the box like Bucks says. It's just that he looks more effective when played on his own up front.
It sound like I dont rate Beccchio or like him. I do, I just dont understand how he is so effective at times, because he's useless at most things. He is very good in the box at headers
There's no better lone striker in the division than Becchio IMO, and that includes Lambert. He may not be the most skilful of players, but he works harder than anyone else and that sort of commitment can make you a good player in any league.
really cant understand why anyone would sell last seasons top scorer, to a rival, for a paltry 2mil which wouldnt be re-invested in the squad??! fair enough hes not a naturally gifted player but he works hard and gets goals which is all you can ask of a championship striker. also we are signing pugh, SG has confirmed it
