Well done to the Mighty Potters. It was highly likely,of course, but after tonights games we are the only British team to progress in the Europa. Draw is tomorrow lunchtime I think. A great achievement really because it is a new experience for the team and who would have thought we would have got this far? A now we can focus our energies on gaining points in the PL over the next couple of months before Europa begins again.
Speaking of which, we are the only British team to qualify through success NOT as a reward for failure! I loved the bit in the sports new: "Man Utd and Man City JOINING Stoke in the last 32" Sounds good eh??
It certainly does Nick. I did not mention the Manchester clubs in my original post for that very reason; they FAILED, we were SUCCESSFUL!
You say that, but we're only in this competition because we LOST a Cup Final! I aint complaining though, let's hope we get a decent draw.
Hate to disagree Jose, we qualified BECAUSE we were in the FA cup final, Man City had already qualified for the Champs League!! So win or lose did not matter, better to have won of course!!
Ah yes, good point. I still can't bring myself to watch any highlights of that game. I've probably watched the 5-0 highlights about 20 times though! So who is everyone hoping for? I'd love it if we got Ajax.

Ha ha. I'm here. I was at work then at my niece's first birthday party. Only just had a chance to get on. Cracking draw lads. Just the one me and my Dad wanted. The 2nd leg is on the eve of my birthday but I won't be travelling to Spain for the 2nd leg though. Should get one for the first leg.
