Just weird tbh. I don't care about Isak really - he wanted to leave and he's gone, we've moved on. And aggro he's still generating is boring.
Yeah just the Ian Watkins **** is unnecessary. Plenty of players have walked out on us before, I think we all knew Isak was going after the first Liverpool bid in the summer.
We've just got all the attributes to beat sides when they come out to play / need to chase the game. We've got to be less cautious in the league.
Yeah. We've had a few games in PL where we performed OK, but just didn't quite get the result. Especially before we started playing Woltemade. Fine margins but that's the difference between an extra 4-6 points on the board. We've also had a couple of games where we looked horribly short of quality. Tonight shows we have do it when it all clicks. So hopefully we can kick on from here.
It’s not easy and to be absolutely fair we’ve tried to sign Pedro and Olise among others. Thats the next level for us now, to find our Semenyo, Saka, etc. But we’re not far off.
Yeah. Realistically, to buy that kind of ready made player is going to be a whole new level for our budget. They will be sought after by loads of other teams and so cost a fortune, when we could perhaps strengthen 2 or 3 other squad positions instead for the same cost. More the point, with current financial restrictions, the chances of those players wanting to come here over other options are incredibly slim. So 'finding' that kind of gem of a player before every other big team does will be the real challenge. And that is also very difficult. It will take time. Hopefully Wilson will add some value there, but it won't be overnight. I know some go on about how much we have already spent, but almost our whole squad needed overhauling, with very few exceptions. We have a much better squad now, but he financial restictions make it stupidly tough for us to attract those truly elite players who are on a different level. We will need to continue to slowly improve each position over time. With no doubt more disappointment in some teansfer windows as our primary targets are also wanted by Europe's elite.
