Charlton only had the same amount of possession, less than 35%, away tonight as we did at home but won 3-0 at Ipswich. Should be interesting. I remember some saying that possession was all important because possession lead to more chances which should lead to more goals. A lot of the games recently show that is not the case.

Depends on what you do when you have the ball I guess. If you constantly push forward like PSG then you’ll create chances. If you **** around your own 18 yard line all game as per Rosie-ball then you won’t.

That maybe held a few years ago but nowadays teams are generally trying to have less posesión which is now considered to be a better approach. Notice there are times defenders under pressure will punt the ball back to their keeper or out for a throw in order to keep possession stats down which never used to happen.

Mad game that, at half time I thought we could be 4-0 up and also could be 3-2 down , just so much space all over pitch . Il take it though over the home borefests from last couple of years , we will lose some playing like that, but we will win plenty too

It’s all about counter-attack, hit ‘em on the break these days.

Million %, it showed the difference that KJ makes to the team when he was replaced by Destan, KJ never gives defenders a second to settle. Natural goal scorer maybe he’s not but his value to the team is there for all to see.

Precisely. We are doing more with it now. Not passing it about keeping possession in our own third of the pitch then losing it when going forward. Just my opinion but I find the way this manager has us playing is a lot more entertaining.

What a game and brilliant first half that was, second we was just hanging on and started to tire however we dug deep and did exactly that. Not good for my heart that second half but what a great result.

Good win that at one of the relegated teams, teams that people think will automatically be good in the championship.

I couldn’t watch Saturday’s game as I was driving back from a week’s holiday in Dorset, so had to make do with listening to the audio feed and the second half was a very tough listen but then tonight’s second half was an equally nervy watch.
Not sure which was more stressful but the first half tonight, we were excellent at times going forward and solid at the back.
Anyway, all that matters is that we’re out scoring the opposition at the moment whoever they are, although I suspect Charlton may be a tricky prospect on Saturday.

Match day squad missing McBurnie, Coyle, Lundstrum, Belloumi, Matazo (Palmer too I guess) and we've beaten a relegated team full of multi million quid players to go ahead of them in the table. Lovely stuff. Weirdest looking champ in years tho, if you'd said after 11 games Millwall, Bristol, Charlton, stoke and us would be in the bottom 6 not many would have laughed.... meanwhile none of the 3 relegated teams are playing with any fluidity, all the parachute teams are stagnating too. Genuinely, anyone could go up this year. Maybe.... just maybe....

Not these days, cos they’re passing it 20 times before reaching the half way line.

    Dean Holden on Hull's victory

Hull assistant manager Dean Holden told BBC Radio Humberside:

"It's a great result and three wins on the spin is a fantastic week for us. It was always going to be a tough game against one of the favourites for promotion.

"I thought we started really well, we created chances early, and anyone who was in the stadium to witness Liam Millar's goal will know it was fantastic.

"We have scored some really good goals recently, but that second one was as good as any. There was really quick play to get beyond them and Joe Gelhardt is exactly where you'd want him to be.

"I thought we could have had the game sewn up, and in the second half the game got stretched. But it was a performance full of grit and desire - a very pleasing performance."

Leicester manager Marti Cifuentes told BBC Radio Leicester:

"A really bad first half, probably the worst we have played so far this season, and I am very disappointed with that.

"I take responsibility for that because I am not happy with the performance. In the second half, we tried, and at 2-0 we had nothing to lose.

"I am not happy at all with the performance in the first half, it's far from the vision that I have for this club and for his team, and that makes me very angry.

"Especially in this league, there is some basics we need to be better at. It makes me reflect about a number of things. We know we are at the start of this process, but that is no excuse."

This squad has either come together with good knowledge of players or by good fortune. Either way it’s bloody good times. We will know more by Saturday 5pm. Minimum draw to keep momentum going.

From what I have seen, Rosie has changed to a more attacking style now, he was always going to work it out, which would be the best way to play to get results.

Fabulous result, great first half as everyone has said. Ground it out 2nd half with some fantastic defending. Great goals, and again without some key players. To play like that without McBurnie was really pleasing.
