I agree our scouting and purchases have been appalling since SR took over. Aziz has looked poor and Fellows is only good if we have someone to meet the crosses. Don’t get me started about Downs. Our squad is big but not any better than many in this league
I think the longer this form goes. We will see attendances drop at St mary . I can't see the club giving will too much longer unless results pick up I'm not will still out yet tho
Second game in a row that we sub off Archer, move Armstrong centrally, and duly cease to be any sort of attacking threat. And it's the third game when you include the enforced sub of Steart. Still just keeps on getting it wrong.
But we're losing games because the players on the pitch aren't taking the chances presented to them. Not sure how we're going to be more clinical in front of goal with a new manager on the sidelines?
All joking aside, I wouldn’t sack him yet as I’d do it just before the break and let someone else have a bit of time with the players without games. The club must be speaking to people after this though even if they weren’t before tonight. btw, apologies for being sarcastic, I wasn’t being serious but appreciate things can come across the wrong way at times.
You do make me giggle, you must be the most upbeat, optimistic poster on this forum "always seeing a silver lining in every cloud" kudos to you!
The facts are we have some nice skilfull players who are completely not equipped to compete in this league. Just about every other team have at least one big lump up front and play no nonsense football and just wait for our ****e mistakes. It’s on the recruitment for me. I don’t think it makes any difference who is trying to manage them
Too many posters thought we'd cake walk the Championship though because we were in the PL last season. Just look at Ipswich, losing 3-0 tonight to Charlton. Maybe some expectations need to change, and realise what a massive job Still (or others) have on their hands with the squad.
To be fair it is nice seeing optimism amongst the reality of our ****ty club. I quite admire this type of attitude and wish I had more of it.
Well, I don't know where we go from here. ,90 minutes of good football but too many mistakes and poor finishing killed us. Time to go to a back four methinks.
No, I'm disappointed every time we lose. But I think the posters that are complaining thought we'd cake walk the league because we did well 2yrs ago. If Still goes, whoever comes in has a massive job on their hands, with no transfer window open.
