“The Israeli Premier League derby between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv was cancelled before kick-off on Sunday, after what police described as "public disorder and violent riots". "Dozens of smoke grenades and pyrotechnic devices were thrown," Israeli police posted on X, adding "this is not a football game, this is disorder and serious violence". Twelve civilians and three officers were injured, police said, while nine people were arrested and 16 detained for questioning.” Meanwhile in this country we debate whether or not they should be allowed to attend a match in Birmingham. The Green Party leader has it right. There should be no Israeli teams allowed to play in Europe football competitions until the killing stops
Those fans do themselves no favours by behaving that way. But I don't think that was the reason given for them being banned from Villa Park. I thought the reason given was that they would be targeted by outsiders (anti-Semites) because they are Jewish. The situation has got very confused.
Not upset - pizzas are horrible, massively overpriced and have all the nutritional values of a housebrick. This will mean they can repackage the restaurant into a barber or vape shop much more lucrative and less work.
Pizzas are certainly horrid things. Even in Italy I'm not tempted. Just a shame there will be job losses.
