I definitely think corruption needs to be managed in unions. Representative democracy in unions I don’t think is representative. However I think the concept of a body who has the power to fight for fairness for everyday workers is arguably needed now more than ever.

Totally agree, was in union my whole working life including 3 years after I retired, but the hypocritical behaviour between private and public side of my union was annoying.

Read that article earlier, the lies in it esp Lib Dem, about fossil fuels putting us in the hands of Russia etc. There is enough gas and old in the north sea and underground +900 years of coal to support us until nuclear/ renewable are consistently available

For me the health of my children matters. No offence but I’m more inclined to believe science experts than Ron

I would love to believe he experts, is climate change manmade!!, to many contradictions, take the last climate emergency the ozone layer. All countries had to give up CFC's straight away not some now the rest later. Climate change, the west who's emission peaked about 1991 have to reduce even more whereas, China, India etc allowed to carry on as normal so much so that this year is the highest emissions on record. If it is so important why are all countries not forced to cut emissions

That pollution/industrialsation effects climate has been known for over 100 years. Just like tobacco companies for years suppressed the harm nicotine was doing, so oil/coal energy companies have suppressed what carbon does to the world.
Undoubtedly 'science' has it right about the need to decarbonise. I suspect the outcomes (all bad) are not so certain, there will be a worst climate and best climate scenario.
Just as the human body gets screwed and extreme up if you take too many steroids... so weather gets screwed up and extreme if it takes too much carbon and other substances.

I agree, but if you are on steroids and you are taking 10 a day or 3,650 a year and you stop taking one on a leap year it’s about the same as Britain sticking to the rules but every one else carries on as normal.
