This. I love him for his effort and commitment, but he's just a really poor footballer. He wasted a number of chances yesterday with poor control and/or decision making. I understand why he's being picked, making us stronger defensively, but if they could get Destan to do the same job defensively we'd be a lot stronger going forward.

That's a joke. Hear the allegations, decide what to do, pick who is going to hold the investigation, investigation, report findings and publish findings all in a couple of hours. Yer right if you say say

I say a couple hours think it was actually under 80 mins of the final whistle

Not sure how anyone can watch Joseph and think he’s up to the level. He’s in the team because he works hard currently, but his finish was dire, several occasions when his touch was awful or he failed to get his head up, and he’s rubbish with his back to goal.

Yesterday’s game was always going to have something to talk about. We seen it before haven’t we. Newly promoted Club, expectation levels through the roof, full house playing a side who probably won’t turn up let give them a game eh. Everything was ‘set up’ for mighty Brum to get back to winning ways and blow City away. That’s where the fantasy ended. Gleefully the reality of Championship football took yet another scalp as City stood up and gave as good as they got in a game that in all honesty was pretty ordinary football wise but one that will get a few headlines for some touch line antics and a sending off . Whilst they got over exited in front of a baying home crowd City calmly did the business and grabbed all 3 points as the realisation ‘mighty ‘ Brum where about to be turned over in their own backyard suddenly sunk in.

THE best thing about yesterday…don’t underestimate any side in this League.

Think he was marking probably along with Stansfield their biggest threat, thought he dealt with him well ,( Damarai Gray) in fact he was more of a threat when he went to fullback. Also set up Slaters goal so for me he did well. Someone I work who goes to Birmingham every week said Gray as been outstanding this season so I was concerned, I did think in fairness he could have got closer with their equaliser. Could Pander have done better though? For me the wide men didn’t hold the ball well enough especially Akintola. Joseph on the hand works so hard and will always help out anywhere on the pitch, he will never be a millar type winger or as exceptional pace and sometimes loses the ball to easy but will chase and never give up. Overall though great three points.

We've had a cracking start, and what appears to be a great squad togetherness, that will carry you a long way in this league.

Coyle was constantly out of position getting dragged into the centre of defence - on one occasion he was next to Hughes - maybe he was told to follow one player where ever they went - nevertheless defensively he was a liability - at least Drameh did a better job and closed the acres of space that Coyle kept giving them - excellent result yesterday - not convinced by Akintola, too much diving or Joseph, abundance of effort but no end product

I’m pretty sure he will have been told to follow Gray who is a top player at this level, I think overall considering he is their danger out wide he did a pretty decent job, let’s not forget when Drameh came on Gray was moved to fullback and for me played better there. Agree on Wide-men, ball doesn't get held up well enough and puts our full backs under pressure. I said that yesterday at ht and also Gelhardt had to get more involved, he was non existent first half, took his goal well and was more involved second. Anyway 3 points and excellent win.

ive said it before, and i know gelhardt much prefers being in the middle, but he always seems to be play better and have more impact when he is on the right

I agree, first half the game passed him by while in the middle, after half time when switched to the wing he looked a different player.

That's why there have been so many draws. Unlike this weekend ...Only 2 draws. Teams are well matched, and anyone can beat anyone else on there day ....
I do wonder now if we'll start to see more wins than draws as squad depth and size come to the front and those fancied to do well start to push on. Hope City is one of them...Don't see why not.

I have a feeling now Crooks is back that'll be where he plays, especially with Belloumi out.

The central three picks itself with Lundstram out, Gyabi certainly isn't up to starting yet.

Surely now Millar is back and has minutes in his legs it's his position now. He's so much more threatening it's unbelievable.

Something is definitely building here. Defensively we just aren’t there fully but we go forward and look threatening time and time again to the point where we feel we can out score anybody anyway. The players are gelling and want to play for the manager.

Hopefully Belloumi is back soon and Millar is getting back up to it.

Not convinced by Akintola, Gyabi or Ndala as yet. Some have shown glimpses but nothing to say they should be a regular starter.

I find this attitude to us constantly with away fans. 'Beaten at home by ****ing Hull??' is a typical response to us getting a result anywhere in this division. Even at Birmingham ****in' City, recently of League 1, whose last foray into the top division was a lifetime ago, versus a club that has spent 20% of this century in the Premier League - more than Forest, Ipswich, Coventry and both Sheffield clubs. I can only put it down to the undeservedly poor reputation this city has acquired over recent years.

Always been the same, I particularly enjoy 'little old Hull' ramming those comments down their throats tbf. Was even more gratifying in the Premier league.
