Sergei knocks on Davies’ office door, enters, looks him in the eye and says ‘ I’m going now’ nods to him and shuts the door behind him.
Davies would **** himself wondering what happens next.

Is Slater getting his haircut now.... did I imagine he said he would do a Hudd and not get it cut until he scored again...?>

Just seen some of the post match celebrations on FB. McB with a large ice pack on right calf...
Let’s hope he’s ok for Tuesday, thought today towards the end we created some good chances when they were chasing it and if he had been on he would have stuck one away. Brilliant result though.

Bit harsh on him.

He scored or at least got an OG assist and ran himself into the ground again.

Should have looked up and passed on a counter attack late on but did get a corner which ate into the time remaining.

He's playing a part in the team this season, which, a bit like Giles, he wasn't really last season.

This. Look, he might not be the most technically-gifted player in the squad but I think he plays an important role in this side. He’s starting as a left-winger on paper but in possession, he plays quite narrow as a second striker whilst Giles maintains the width on the left. He presses well, has good link-up with McBurnie and puts a shift in off the ball too. Akintola is just as lacking when it comes to technical ability but doesn’t press as well, doesn’t track back as well and is more wasteful with the ball than Joseph.

I think he’s an underrated player, he’s not a goal scorer playing out on the wing, but does the dirty stuff that goes unnoticed. I think he could become a real CULT player, that a lot of people slag off & then when he doesn’t play, they’re the ones saying we need a player like Joseph!

I fully agree, he was my man of the match today, I thought he was excellent.

I think it’s fair to say he’s not a clinical finisher like McBurnie, but there’s still a lot of good in his game and he’s vital to how this team play.

Loss was 'self-inflicted' - Davies - reaction
Birmingham City head coach Chris Davies told BBC WM:

"It's very disappointing to lose that match. We wanted more attacking impetus to try to create more chances and score more goals.

"I think we had a lot of that in the first half but we conceded two really sloppy goals and it felt like we were 2-1 down against the run of play. It puts you in a really difficult position.

"My main idea at half-time was to keep the back door shut but continue with our attacking play, knowing we would get more chances and hopefully get the two goals we needed.

"But a real lack of discipline has cost us, going down to 10 men. Then it becomes very difficult.

"We kept pushing, there's no lack of that, but it's not enough. It's self-inflicted today, through a lack of discipline."

Davies: 'Very disappointing'

Hull City head coach Sergej Jakirovic told BBC Radio Humberside:

"I'm very happy because of the boys. They fought and battled all 97 minutes.

"We didn't have control of the play, especially first half, and we could have finished this game earlier. We must play better with one player more.

"But OK, we are very happy. Two wins in a row. This is also an example of how this league is very difficult.

"Every week, there are surprise results and this is a big impact for us as we take the three points."

Akintola looks woeful to be fair. He's a last 10 mins player to cause some chaos.

In my view the wingers should now be Gelhardt (with Belloumi out) and Millar, they're by far the most threatening and the ball tends to stick with them.

Crooks in the 10 as he can drop in where needed and presses really well up there.
