Result isn't the end of the world.

The recurring theme for us this season is when we play poorly we lose and when we play well and deserve to win we concede late goals costing us points. Needs to turn around and quickly.

The free header is another example of our back line not able to defend when inside their own box. They are much more effective when playing higher. They switch off or lose their markers too easily when defending deep.

Schoolboy defending. Stick to your man and do the 'come dancing' bit with arms around them. Not rocket science.

We discovered that Harrison and Aaronson are terrible at this level last time we were up here. Aaronson was gash and didn't do much better in Germany. Harrison didn't do well at Everton despite his work rate under Moyes. They both need moving on in January. I'm not saying that Largie is the answer either as he's having a mare at Valencia.

We need a Bielsa esq coach who can pull performances out of players.

Only reason those two are still with us is nobody would pay money for either. There is only one Bielsa and he ain’t coming back

Didn’t watch it today but not a good result. Was it anyone’s fault for the goals? Darlow/Struijk/Rodon? Should we expect some changes for West Ham? Not even any shining lights coming off the bench in James or Tanaka to give us some hope of a turnaround?

I think we need to remember that Burnley aren’t as bad as their results this season. They’ve beaten us and Sunderland now and Sunderland are flying (both at Turf Moore), almost got a draw against Liverpool at home too. Got battered against City but that’s City for you and drew against Forest. Lost against Spurs but so did we and they didn’t look terrible in that game either. Also first choice wingers are injured. Pre game I wanted a win but I think a draw would’ve been a good result. Also where has our solid defensive shape gone since Everton, Newcastle and Fulham? That’s a bigger worry for me than up top. At least with a strong defensive we’d pick up a point here and there and nick wins but losing 2-0 to Burnley isn’t a great sign. Farke needs to do something. Saying that looking at the stats it seems like our board not spending on the forward line is starting to show. Will reserve judgment as if we can get a win Friday and a couple of draws in the games after we’re back on track. Wolves still losing. Could do with a hard fought draw Monday night with some injuries and sending offs, also not as much time for West Ham to recover.

FARKE being James and Gnonto and Okafor missing could have swapped things around a bit by having JJ play at either LB or RB and use Gudmundson or Bogle on the wing. Aaronson had only just got off the plane and looked jet lagged. Struijk needs benching and bet Bijol is spitting feathers after his rave reviews this last 2 weeks. Never thought we would end up with Piroe, Nmecha and DCL all on the pitch at the same time what a clusterfook

Yep, that’s how we’ve been for years under numerous managers. We’re set up and recruited for a high line defence, we have defenders who are good at intercepting clearances and playing a high line. You just don’t have any confidence that we can shut up shop when we need to.

The difference between elite defenders and merely good defenders is the number of errors they make, the ability to concentrate for 90 minutes. Our guys are used to being in a high possession team and are good at recycling possession and building from the back… don’t trust them at this level when under the cosh. Not that we actually were at any point today. They only needed to get in our box once to win 2-0

Burnley’s second goal was a screamer, but… I think Perri would have got to it. The highlights are on the BBC website, have a watch, Darlow nearly got his fingertips to it, apparently Perri has a 5” greater reach.

I’m not blaming Darlow, why is an £18m keeper sitting on the bench.

Bornauw who we were supposedly chasing for 6 months on the bench, Bijol £18m on the bench, Farke content on last seasons Championship pairing. I’m question why we signed both when other areas were more pressing

Burnley first win in 6 we are no wins in three, time is running out mr Farke

Systems,stats,xg.... I'll tell you one fact piroe would have buried the Aaronson chance with his ****ing back too goal <doh>...a lot say he's slow, drifts out of games, lazy, that might be a fact but he's the best finisher we've got at present and he's collecting splinters on his :emoticon-0172-mooni right now.... Feel free to disagree all you like, but it's a simple fact ...oh and how I wish Solomon had signed <ok>

I kinda hope Farke is sacked just to see the chaos that will follow just like at sevco. Our owners haven’t a clue how to assemble a proper squad and they’re proving it on the double. At least if Farkes gone it’ll keep everyone happy

Farkes level is the championship. Our owners gave him the best backing out of anyone in that division for two consecutive seasons. Those two seasons reflected that on the total points hall. Yes we sold a load of talent after the first season, three players fetching £110m shows how Farke failed season one, he had that talent and didn’t get us out.

Why did he fail, well Meslier cost us a promotion and Farke had a reluctance to replace him, that didn’t help.

Farke was given money this season, he spent it and if we ran out of funding before bringing in a new number 10 so I’d have to question why we signed some of those earlier signings.

We had a -£105m spend this window, 12th largest deficit in transfers, I think you must have a string of “clueless owners” comments on copy and paste mate.

The problem now is the owners backed Farke, it is Farkes team, I don’t see we have enough variation to change too much if someone new does come in

Just watched the highlights and my takes below.

Aaronson (Although I do think all blame on him is harsh but we always need someone to have a go at & Bamford is gone now so I guess that’s his responsibility to take all criticism), Harrison & Bogle all had chances they should be scoring.

First goal Darlow kicks out of play & the throw in conceded after they score from. Where was Gudmundsson helping Harrison for the cross and where was Rodon/Struijk trying to win the header?

Second goal, no pressure from Ampadu or Struijk & yes it’s a screamer but I do think Darlow should be saving that.

All in all I think we actually looked okay and probably had the better chances to win the game but this league is brutal and we need to start scoring them. Changes needed in the next game and I’d probably still go with Perri in for Darlow (that’s 2 games now where I think Darlow could’ve done better) & Bijol for Struijk for similar reasons.

I’d also start James ahead of Aaronson if he’s fit enough and hopefully Okafor is back as we don’t have another winger fit. Be tempted to start Tanaka too but don’t think he’s got rave reviews yesterday coming on & cost us against Bournemouth so it’s hard to say but defo need our manager to do something. I’m not ready for a blame game against Farke yet and think we’ve done as well as or better than expected so far this season but I’ll defo doubt it if he doesn’t make at least one change for Friday.

I think win or two in the next 3 or 1 win and 2 draws. Just get into Jan not in the bottom 3 and then buy another winger.
