Great away win at a difficult venue, you don't go 29 games unbeaten at home because you are push overs.
Thought from the off when I saw the young inexperienced referee that there could be fireworks and there certainly was. One sending off when there could have been three or four. The Brum keeper certainly and the incident when Joseph was nearly cut in two on the half way line resulting in the melee should have seen Stansfield sent off.
Didn't like the Brum stewards and security men getting involved either.
City were much better in the second half and won more easily then the score line suggests.
Slater was immense as was Crooks when he came on. Miller and Drameh also made a big difference. Roll on Tuesday. UTT.

We looked a lot more solid, apart from Hughes needless pushes. He got away with one in the first half too, and not the first time this season. Having said all that, I thought the original push was outside the box. Their attacker and Egan then collided in the box, but the penalty was given for the push.
Summed up the referee though totally out of his depth.

This was something Greaves used to do a lot, he'd be very physical and he'd often get punished for it because he was never discreet about the foul like other players were. Needs to have a session with McBurnie to teach him the dark arts.

**** me it's not relaxing watching city on the telly. I need to get to more games.

Great win against the whiny brummie ****ers.

Do we not have enough nouse on the pitch to manage a game ???????

It looked like the plan was to counter attack with Millar and Gelhardt. I'll say one thing about our players, we don't seem to look tired towards the end of games anymore.

But also, sitting in is never a good idea, especially when you have the advantage because you're effectively nullifying the man advantage by allowing them the freedom of the park. But after the second break and Joffey scoring, they became a lot less gung ho and it was easier to deal with them. They always looked like troubling us but never felt dangerous, it was more that I was worried we'd make a mistake (out of habit of previous seasons).

Kasey Palmer out for 8-10 weeks after he got a kick on the knee whilst on International Duty. Hmmm, when does that transfer window open?

Also the Birmingham boss told Sergey Jakirovic to **** off and he also to **** off back to Croatia.

In a strange way.....it's not the worst thing, as long as we continue to get results, Hughes dropping a bollock now and then should cool interest from the prem

Had to listen win the radio as was away... question , have we ever had as many yellow cards in one match. Mike White and Swanny were naming who hadn't got one..

Great result, great teamwork, I thought we were soft at the back & too many yellow cards, Crooks is a red card waiting to happen. Stupid bookings all round. I watched Chelski earlier & they were exactly the same. Numerous stupid bookings & fouls.
Despite the win, we were lucky not to have lost, they should have had a penalty in the first half & were the better side, despite being down to 10!
If we’d lost, it would’ve been the most frustrating game for a good few years.
We need to stop the cards! Although it’s good for a bet!<cheers>

Both sides got 5+ yellows, which I think gets clubs fined. Add to that the mass brawl which will also lead to fines. Not great for us, but I think Birmingham might have already been in trouble at least once this season for similar so the EFL may (hopefully) throw the book at them.

Thoughts on Destan at this club.... listening it seems he a) needs to go go supersavers, B) untie his boot laces from on another C) be told 'the goal is the way'...

How did Joseph do... seems he has little vision though runs hard...

Fine line between good **** housing and too many yellows, we've had a few years of being soft and it's an obvious part of the plan, supported by the right recruitment, to do the dirty stuff more effectively....it's worked today but could defo have gone the other way like you say

personally think he's a good back up option from what I've seen so far, good physical presence like MCB up top who can deffo handle himself. V hard to make a fair judgement on his ability until he starts one or two games. He missed a good chance today yes but wouldn't say it's a definite sign that he's ****
