I'm off to New York on Saturday for a short break with the Missus who's going to shop for England. Whilst there I will be hoping to find somewhere that shows PL football to catch the Man U and Sunderland games. Do any of you good people know of a sports bar or the like where our games would be shown? I don't hold out much hope for the Man U game as the early kick-off means it will be 7.00am over there, but the Sunderland match will be mid-afternoon and a better chance of being on somewhere.

Lived there years ago, and though I don't suppose anywhere I used to go is still the same, I reckon you'll get the Man U game with a bit of effort. New York is the original 24 hour city, its the most cosmopolitan place in the states, and those Man U fans are effing everywhere!

    Try this link....

    http://www.irishemigrant.com/ie/sports.asp?id=7872

This lists all pubs that say they will be showing the game. 13 in NYC, including the above mentioned Irish Pub, at 839 7th Avenue (by 54th Street) which is 7 blocks up from Times Square towards the park. Been there before myself, it's great.

Love NYC, apart from London it's the only city in the world I'd happily live. I'm sure you'll have a great time, expect to see pics when you return!
