We more than anyone know what it is like to have terrible owners. I also feel sorry for them. But I still want to beat them on Saturday.
Sorry state of affairs over at the massives. Tough times indeed. Makes the result very unpredictable tbh as their attitude will make a huge difference to the outcome.
I’ve never understood the mentality of fans of other clubs who wish for an opposition club to fail. I will never forget being at the Valley for the game before we went into exile, it was a sickening feeling. Bad owners have bad consequences.
Yes, somebody just reminded me of that as well. It adds unpredictability to the occasion. Average players can out-do themselves when they are annoyed enough. A home draw might not turn out to be the worst result.
Been to all except Blackburn at the Valley so far in the league. No aways. Will likely be there on Saturday.
To be honest, the 12:30 kick-offs earlier this season really fitted well with my other Saturday commitments. I can adapt for 3pm kick-offs, it just takes a bit of planning. I wouldn't want to see a World without Palace or Millwall. But a World where they are both in the Conference or League 2... just for a couple of decades...
If we want the three points tomorrow we must not start the game with hopeless Campbell & Leaburn up front. After ten games, including cup games, their stats speak for themselves & I am afraid that both is not good enough to start in the Championship. I think we are on the brink of fan’s unrest if these two keep getting starts, particularly when we spent a lot of money this Summer on Olaofe & Apter.
It is clear that Little Ivor likes to keep a settled team, and whilst we are 'getting by' atm I do not think much will change with the team line up. However, we MUST improve on the goals scored record as it is unrealistic to think that we can keep things tight at the back for 46 games. Coupled with once we go behind we have problems, as seen with the Preston game.
A couple of my pals - lifelong fans both - have told me they are going to boo if Campbell’s name is read out as a starter again tomorrow.
I cannot go along with that. I was very prone to panning players when in the Premier League, particularly when getting large sums of dough and not putting any effort in. Nowadays I have come to the conclusion the players are s*** so why boo them, particularly if they are still trying.
I wouldn’t boo him personally, but equally do you think he’s done enough to justify his starting place ? I don’t.
Boo players who don’t put in the effort maybe but a young lad trying his best? Not for me that’s not right
Pathetic and childish. Boo one of our own players? It is about time your pals grew up. I have got an idea, why not support the players in the Red shirt. What good can come from booing him?
Whatever we think is immaterial. I personally think he should be Sub but Jones sees him in training. I would trust him over fans.
