Worth a watch about the immigration approach Reform and Badenoch aim to mimic. Comments from a former Tory cabinet member https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPwWDHygVlZ/?igsh=MW1xcGdteWxjZnRqaA==
@Makemstine Roger what are your thoughts about Reform's plans to use billions of public funds on tax breaks for the richest in the country (Farage's mates)?
To be fair, you don't know the whole story Bob, only what you were told ... ... if you were sure people were wrong you'd put them straight, but you don't.
I’m not clever but have been proven right about Brexit. A failing economy and record immigration which is what the consensus of experts told us what would happen. I listened to experts not Farage, if you think that makes me clever thank you.
When it comes to Brexit I was right because I listened to experts and not Nigel Farage or Boris Johnson. If that makes me clever or right I will hold my hands up. I want robust immigration (like some on the right but based on the economic needs of the country and demand on public services not hatred and racism like some on the right) and the consensus of the experts was that brexit would make immigration a lot worse whilst massively harming our economy. I listened to them and not Nigel Farage or Boris Johnson and it’s a shame a lot more didn’t, particularly those who voted for Brexit to tackle immigration..
Despite what people say, immigration is the main reason people voted to leave Europe in my opinion. Now, if I had terrible neighbours, two doors down, I'd want to keep my next door neighbour on my side, stands to reason. You'd want them as a buffer zone and someone who'd be your ally. What we've done is alienate our next door neighbours then expect them to stop the bad people coming into our garden ... ... it's stupidity on a monumental scale.
