That would have been me And it's not petty. If you're trying to emphasise a point, typing random words in capitals just dims it down and it comes across as if a 5 year old is typing. Though in regards to your two strokes, I wish you the best of health from here on, football aside, I never wish any pain/ discomfort on any fan. All the best
let the european new boys have their gloat, they won't get past the next round, then we won't see them in europe for a long while'but we will be back next season in the cl.the difference,we have european pedigree!.
P N P Well, Like I said, my stroke affects me when writing/reading Someone did and I've apologised again for that. Good luck anyway!
Poor effort at justifying everybody EXCEPT their own fans opinion of Sunday's game. One refereeing decision in a meaningless game does not in any way make up for either the ineptitude of the officiating on Sunday ( a game of some importance to us at least,) or the cynical garbage served up by Stoke. Sorry, it just doesn't.
well stop getting wound up over something that has happend and gone and something else that has nothing to do with your team..it wont do your ticker any good and good luck with your health.
No not really. it's a shame for the fringe players but in the greater scheme of things it's no great loss.
Not really, only for the squad as a whole to get match fitness. This tornament is just not what Spurs fans want to win(if we had gone on to win, then great). But we let ourselves down in the last match. If we had taken it seriously from the start i'm sure we would have qualified. The teams Harry put out says it all really.
Didn't Metalist Kharkiv play Everton a couple of years ago? I'm annoyed that we've gone out, as I thought it could've been a useful tool for keeping our squad players fit and happy, while bringing through youth players. What's really annoyed me is the 'injuries' to some of our players that should be pushing for a place in the first XI. The likes of Pavlyuchenko and Corluka are still on our pay-roll, yet seem to have given up playing.
Can we actually get back on topic? I thought Townsend looked really good, still needs to learn to pass more when the moment's right but a very encouraging performance. Pienaar.... FINALLY he has a good game. I was shocked! He actually looked decent, only taken 10/11 months! Though my man of the match goes to our local lad Livermore. Out of position (the silly red card foul aside) and he looked brilliant. Granted this was against an opposition that would probably represent a bottom half Championship/ top half League One team but still I thought he looked very assured, ball control was great, made some good runs through the centre (showed why he's a natural CM) and just generally looked lively. Would also like to congratulate Harry Kane on his first goal, here's hoping it'll be the first of many! No we're out, I hope Carroll can get a loan to Fulham (was linked with them accord to the Mirror), Townsend too deserves a crack at the Prem and hopefully a team will give him a chance on loan, Kane should look to get some experience in the Championship and I think Fredericks should go to either a good League One/ Mid table Championship side. They're the guys who I think could have some sort of future with us, not all will become first teamers but from the glimpses we've seen, they certainly have something to suggest they can make the squad on a regular basis in years to come. It's a shame we're out as it's a tournament we could/ should have won, but there's been some encouraging signs when it comes to the amount of acadmey players that have featured against experienced European opposition and haven't looked out of their depth by any means. Yet again another reason to be cheerful about Spurs this season
I was right about Metalist Kharkiv and Everton. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7019723.stm Anyone care? Didn't think so!
I'm totally ticked off about going out of the EPL!I wanted us to win it and we could have....but not while playing a reserve team. I still think if we qualify for this comp again, please Harry, let someone else who cares take Spurs place! If you want to play reserves, play in a reserve league and save our fans spending all that money on a losing cause!!!!! I bet Man C and U will be turning out their first teams. Why? Because they and THEIR fans will be after winning it..... Let's just hope that saving our first teams legs will be beneficial by the end of the season!!!!? I bet Bill Nick is turning over in his grave too! TO NOT TRY IS TO NOT SUCCEED!!!!
Was very pleased Kane scored one. There were some good performances,so not a bad night. BS9 i think if our proper squad players weren't always incapacitated then we would have played much stronger teams.Having Pav, Charley, to mention but two, not really playing does make it hard to qualify with only kids playing. Think Harrys hands were a bit tied this year. All Spurs fans would sacrifice this comp for 4th or better in the EPL.So now lets just get on and do it.
2113: Harry Redknapp, speaking to ITV4 - "I thought when Rubin Kazan went down to 10 men that we might have a good chance and four goals would be enough. But it was a good experience for some of the younger players in our squad and they will probably go out on loan in January now. I am a big believer in the loan system and they will go and do well for somebody else now."
To who? There's no Shamrock fans and besides this is the Spurs board. If you'd read the thread you'd even have noticed that we did say Livermore was very lucky and I someone said the same about Kaboul.
