It was. Was introduced to him by Trumpton after one game and got absolutely pissed up with him. Did so again on a couple of other occasions I met him. The person he dobbed in, who I am sure you will know, met him later and it ended up with no hard feelings and all was forgiven as far as I am aware.

Don’t know. Heard he was having problems in his personal life. Hope he is OK.

CI cost me hours of my life when I was lured into playing that stupid ‘scoring a goal from a cross’ computer game when you were representing City against other teams.
Seem to recall City had the numbers to do well and beat some big German side in one important ‘match’

…or was that all a dream?

…if it was it was a bit of a weird one!

Pre-2010, reading the forum was the best way to get city news, history and match reports, as the BBC ones were generic and social media hadnt got big yet. Lost its way during the early Allam years and then got used as a soap box by that Manchester fella who wanted everyone to buy the club and turn it into a German style ownership.

There was one in Manchester from Brid. His grandad had an excellent chippie and is in the Guiness book of records. Don’t know if it was Exiled or the other one.

And the Land of Green Ginger banner, after he bought a flat down there. To be fair he was a decent bloke, met him a couple of times. Once at Man City away when he took us into a 100% Man City pub, and he knew a lot of people in there. Had some good ideas, mostly pie in the sky.

I met him and a few others in a pub around Shepherds Bush for a QPR away game and you're right, he is a decent, generous bloke, but very confident in his beliefs. He thought he could get 7000-10000 city fans to put £5k in a pot to buy the club from the Allams, which I thought was highly unlikely... And also, bearing in mind the running costs over the last three seasons, there would be a lot of ppl out of pocket right now.
