Interesting comparison of strikers based on how much they played, scored and assisted.

I was surprised how productive Jesus has actually been when on the field - and more surprised that Aubameyang and Nketiah have about the same goal contribution rate for minutes played.
Giroud always surprises me when I see his numbers - very very good.
Early days for Gyokeres so not comparative until later in the season.

Havertz isn't really fair either because half of his apps have been as a number 8.

Actually crazy how few minutes RVP played considering he was with us for 8 Seasons.

Yeah - if you take away Havertz MF appearances he's close to the top of the list as the most productive in the PL era in terms of mins per G+A.

I'll exclude Gyokeres for now because he's only just joined, but for me, the best strikers I've seen play at The Emirates from that list (+Adebayor as I'm surprised he's not in the list):

    Robin van Persie
    Alexis Sanchez
    Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang
    Emmanuel Adebayor
    Kai Havertz
    Olivier Giroud
    Alexandre Lacazette
Gabriel Jesus (the knee injuries and ACL injuries have totally ruined him)
    Eddie Nketiah

Your list is interesting - i would put Giroud 2nd behind RVP.
IN fact i think my ranking would be very different other than RVP at the top

    For reference

Lacazette - a goal contribution (excluding pens) every 133 minutes , which puts him slightly ahead of Aubameyang
Adebayor - a goal contribution (excluding pens) every 156 minutes - which puts him below Nketiah but slightly above Havertz

Mins per goal contribution (non pens)

    RVP 104
    Alexis 109
    Giroud 113
    Jesus 121
    Laca 133
    Auba 135
    Nketiah 146
    Adebayor 156
    Havertz 163
    Gyokeres 376

Again though , bottom 2 Havertz and Gyokeres skewed for different reasons - Havertz played a lot of minutes in midfield and Gyokeres has just started so his rate will be spiky until he's done a season.

As a striker -Havertz may well be clear at the top of the list when playing as a striker only, think it's like a non pen goal contribution every 90 mins

Adding Eduardo - no surprise he's high up the list almost equal with RVP.

    RVP 104
    Eduardo 105
    Alexis 109
    Giroud 113
    Jesus 121
    Laca 133
    Auba 135
    Nketiah 146
    Adebayor 156
    Havertz 163
    Gyokeres 376

If we are going to do it we may as well do it properly and include Lord Nic, Chamakh and Sanogo. EDIT to include Eduardo !

I think you have to look at this in 2 ways, perceived effectiveness (what I thought at the time - not stats) and ability. For ability my list would be:
    RVP
    Sanchez
    Eduardo
    Jesus
    Adebayor
    Auba
    Giroud
    Havertz
    Laca
    Lord Nic
    Nketiah
    Chamakh
    Sanogo

For perceived effectiveness, who I thought would get you a goal if you needed a goal:
    Sanchez
    RVP
    Auba
    Eduardo
    Adebayor
    Lord Nic
    Giroud
    Jesus
    Havertz
    Nketiah
    Laca
    Chamakh
    Sanogo

Chamakh Sonogo and Bendtner - might find their rates to complete the list

Minutes per open play goal contributions

    RVP 104
    Eduardo 105
    Alexis 109
    Giroud 113
    Jesus 121
    Bendtner 126
    Laca 133
    Auba 135
    Nketiah 146
    Adebayor 156
    Havertz 163
    Chamakh 190
    Gyokeres 376
    Sanogo 437

The intangible here is when those goal contributions came - to HH's point about scoring the big goals when really needed.
The list does highlight the issue with fan assessments, though. Fans get downers on some players and get highs on others and this can happen literally over a couple of poor games that sets in stone perceptions.
Case in point - Bendtner was more likely to contribute to a goal than Auba in open play ... even their mins per GOAL (not including assists) is similar. One is viewed as one of the worst strikers we've had and the other is viewed as one of the best.

My one criticism of the stats are they include Auba's failed final season and a half when he had fallen out with Arteta, his output took a nosedive. To me thats not representative of Auba's actual talent and performance with us.

All players can say they went through bad times where their form dropped and then blame it on others.
There are many players who we could take their very best period of from and view them as much better than they were for us.
That said - there is a difference between the highs - Auba's best was very good and if we judged n that he'd be higher up the list.

And Alexis played as a LWF and still outscored most of our strikers.

I think Alexis might be in the top 5 most talented players we’ve seen at the Emirates.

Best players of the Emirates era can't include the likes of Bergkamp, Henry et al, they were only there for a season or so, so your options for best player would have to include RVP, Sanchez, Fabregas, Cazorla, Ozil ......... who else ?

    Sanchez
    Van Persie
    Fabregas
    Carzorla
    Saka
    Gabriel/Saliba

Ozil doesn't get in for me because in many ways I consider him a flop.
