Does anyone know how Carter being doing so far (bar getting sent off)? Is he likely to be retained? In development football, giving a young player two yellow cards in the first half just seems ****ing unnecessary.
Was he the lad that was the freestyle footballer we signed? He’s very good, he’ll make it League One/Two if nothing else.
Not seen him play, but Hugh Parker (scored second goal/assist on third) looks a real handful - promising
There is a gulf for sure. And that's what concerns me about Destan. We really do need a decent back up to McBurnie. It isn't Joseph unfortunately. I know I've said it before, but I watched Destan play for the U21's last month and he did nothing. In fact he got bullied by their CB's (and was even complaining to the ref "did you see what he's doing"). He was replaced at HT and his replacement (Parker I think it was) offered more. In his cameos for me he's done literally nothing either. I hope I'm wrong and it's just all part of his settling in and adjustment, but should anything happen to McBurnie or if he needs resting for some reason, I fear we're screwed atm. Tinsdale and Brown have looked a step above when I've watched them, and will hopefully make the (big) step up. Then there's Bobby Moore who at only 16 more than holds his own at that level - some prospect.
As he should though, Coyle looked rubbish when he played for them a month ago or so but not sure he was fully trying
