Nothing could change my mind. We're champions and adding players is just what teams do. This transition talk is an excuse for failure.

All teams should be in some form of transition. If they are not changing they are stagnating.

The question should be the degree of disruption change brings.

Some teams honestly dont aim to win things but every tram has some aim. I believe this transition thing is another way to say they wont meet their aims but aim to meet their aims sometime in the future

Lfc are not out of anything competition here but we all know how easy it is to not perform so we need to see that improvement as we progress.

    We are not in France.

Psg could stink the place out and still be top. They could buy 2 ir 3 in janaury and be a whole.new club

We are in a tougher spot as any lower level of performance really shows.

Our next game is man utd at home.

It demands far higher performance are going to be there but we all know these games are wither a cake walk or absolutely awful.

Utd wont want to lose thet is for sure.

Hopefully the players get some benefit and good feelings from international duty.

Vvd, gravenberch, gakpo and frimpong had a good day recently.

Manchester United has been in transition since Sir Alex Ferguson left. I hope we can sort ourselves out soon.

PL sides have a named 25 man squad...

Nine players left the squad; Trent, Diaz, Elliott, Kelleher, Nunez, Quansah, Phillips, Tsimikas and Jota
    That's 36% of the squad

Seven players joined the squad... Ekitike, Frimpong, Isak, Kerkez, Leoni, Mamardashvili and Wirtz
    That's 28% of the squad

How, exactly, is that not transition? It's not a small amount of changes, it's a lot for any team in any situation.

However, I'll repeat; not claiming transition, I think it's a blip due to various reasons and we'll come good sooner rather than later. I'm just not prepared to dismiss something that is factual.

I remember the great Liverpool teams of the 70s and 80s. I can remember Dalglish replacing Keegan. I'm even old enough to remember us being beaten by Watford in the FA Cup in 1970, and Shankly ripping that team to shreds, which led to the team that won the title and the UEFA Cup in 1973, and the FA Cup (when it mattered more) in 1974. Then, when Shankly left, Paisley got rid of the fullbacks and half the midfield, and, well...( but some still said the '76 and '77 teams were Shankly's teams).

I also remember the '87 team when Barnes, Beardsley, Aldridge, etc, point is, even when you make changes from a position of strength, they can sometimes take a season or two, but usually, after a blip and a hiccup, it's worth it. Put it this way, though - it's best to make those changes when you're a winner rather than trying to catch up. And as somebody who has (rightly?) lambasted FSG for being stingy over the years, I ain't complaining when Liverpool go out and buy proven quality, even if they don't all show it from day one.
