Not reached me, my family or friends yet - where are these war torn streets? it strikes me that this is a closer description of the US than the UK where they appear to be really leaning into fascism
I feel they are doing an average job. I’d vote for them to remain vs the apparent alternative led by Farage
Just thinking some more about this - our political system is seriously broken. Using me as an example: last election I voted labour for the first time in my life. This was 100% in support of removal of the local conservative and the conservatives overall. I failed locally with conservatives holding but was pleased to see the back of the tories from government fast forward to the next election where I suspect the fight locally will be between labour or conservatives vs reform. That is likely to lead to me tactically voting against Reform. so that will have left me ~15 years since I felt able to vote the way I would have liked to have done. surely time for proportional representation?
Whoever is in Government I daresay we will be overun by immigrants on the ponce and not wanting to integrate. Having said that, some of them might have more manners and respect than the current leaders, and mayor.
I voted Labour in the 2024 GE, for the first time since 1987 - to get rid of Sunak, not because I like Starmer. Used to pride myself that I'd never voted for Tony Blair I did vote Referendum Party though, and several times for the Brexit Party under Snake oil Nigel. More fool me Seriously thinking about voting Lib Dem in the future, and maybe even joining that Party (I've never been a party member before). Since Starmer has begun aping Reform's Nationalism I have gone right off Labour. Taking away the old folks' Winter fuel payments turned my stomach as well. But I would never vote for Corbyn and his Lefty terrorist loving losers. The Lib Dems may have little chance of power, but they seem to align most closely to my beliefs.
