I'd give it a week. I'm also fairly sure that if the Sheriff does return here he will start a thread on a similar theme. As 'cancel culture' is clearly a political subject I'll be obliged to merge his thread into the 'Current affairs & politics' thread, with a polite reminder that we have just the one thread for all political subjects now - where anything can be debated. But that multiple threads on political themes are not the way we do things here these days. I'll then get some blunt stick about that, after which the Sheriff will likely ride off into the sunset again. This would not be our first rodeo, as the saying goes. However, I would like to be wrong about this. For all our differences I do miss his contributions.
