Can anyone remember the old Hull City forum?

It add a square box in the middle with all the threads in it. It also had a 'on this day' feature.

    Any ideas?

That's right, I remember it as an a email group.

You send an email to Tiger chat, and everyone on the list would get it; or you could sign up for a digest which be a once a day mail containing all emails from that day. I used it in the uber dark late 90s and it kept me abreast of what was going on at City whilst living away from the area - was a pretty good group from what I remember.

Peter S was a member and he might remember more of its origins/type than I.

AN was okay, but it came across to me as a set of very cliquey pricks..ie the Mods were all mates, and only mates of mates could join. Newbies were hardly welcomed and they usually had to go through an initiation which consisted of the senior members taking the piss for no apparent reason....ie membership quickly dropped off. Shame really cause it wasn't bad.

I think the mods had a superiority complex going on, a bit too cockish for my liking. Though recently, I have met a few of the mods through work and they aren't too bad.

Aye, Tiger Chat Digest was my first on-line foray with City. Followed by Amber Nectar (Andy and Les were alright), which I preferred over CI (except for that one poster's wife's tits), but preferring AN seems to make me a cliquey ****!

There was one called Vital Football I used to be on, I think it was mid 2000’s, I just checked for it & it no longer exists.

I started on rivals then moved over to CI when that closed down. CI was good, but I seem to remember it being a bit close to the nose sometimes. Pretty much everything went

Call me old fashioned but I much preferred the fanzines. I remember coming across the first ever issue of Hull, Hell @ Happiness, was it just after we'd played Arsenal away in the League Cup? Produced and funded independently by Andy and Rich from Withernsea and I thought it was great, something we hadn't seen at the club since the old Tiger Rag days of Raich Carter, and I think that was a club publication. I actually wrote to them asking if I could contribute to future issues! This was pre internet so quite an achievement to get such a publication on the streets and sold. I remember putting postcards advertising its existence in Post Office windows all over North Hull. City fans can be rightly proud of the many fanzines that followed H,H@H.

Aljaxon, ha ha, our fanzine messageboards also used to attract oddball football fans from around the country camped on them for years like EssexGull and an old lefty Northampton fan called CandW.
