During the election of Trump I made several predictions to myself of how he would try and take over full control of the country by using the miltary to do his dirty work. What sort of country invades an apartment block in the middle of the night from helicopters and then ties up young naked kids and escorts to waiting transport? Trump is breaking each and every law in the American Constitution systematically and then testing them in the courts of any state that tends to lean to the Republicans hoping they will agree with his directions and if they don't he will take the issue to the Supreme Court of the U.S.A., which is totally controlled by Trump's party.

What are the reasons behind these scary moves by Trump and what is the long term goal of a man who wants to be king of all he surveys?

    1. Putting troops of any kind, whether they be Federal or State, in a Democratic state is intended to put boots on the ground initially to stir up discontent in the near term, but also to control any elections by grabbing the ballot boxes for manipulation to Trump's advantage.
    2. The ICE men who are patrolling the streets of Democratic cities with abject thuggery and rejection of human rights are in position for all of the wrong reasons. These newly stationed troops will not leave anytime soon and will cause as much trouble as they can muster because that is the basis of Trump's attempt to take over the U.S.A. and create a virtual police state.
    3. Should the current state of affairs be allowed to continue I would suggest that the next election (if indeed there is one) will be rigged by taking control of the ballot boxes right from the start to ensure success.

Trump has no intention of going quietly into the past and the carnage he could inflict on the American people and the rest of the world is a major concern as he is totally unhinged and should be ousted. The Republicans are replacing anything and everything that is Democratic and intend to steamroll any opposition into the ground and they are also using Republican leaning lawyers to do their bidding hoping that at least one will rule in the favour of Trump to kick off the final puush towards dictatorship and who knoew what?

Perhaps it's time for the rest of the world to kick Trump in the nuts by relocating the U.N. headquarters else where in the real world and then follow that up by taking away the World Cup next year because believe me the Chump will do something to exert his control and vistors should be taking a serious decision as to whether to attend or not. Hopefully things may calm down by then but I suspect that they will not and the problems will build all for one man to grin at us and say - I am the man and you will do as I say - so there.

My son Kevin recently crossed into the U.S. and said the snarl at the border came from more than the traffic, and his phone was taken away for about 10-15 minutes and scanned for derogatory posts and if that is not akin to a police state then I don't know what is.:emoticon-0127-lipss:headbang:

Trump is about law & order it was on his mandate for election
Something that’s been sadly missing from out respective societies for decades is respect
We’re playing catch up while the rest of the world takes the piss out of out endless generosity that attracts people with no skills to these shores and we pander to it
Have a house, have loads of money, leech off the NHS with a free interpreter
I feel for your son but the world is out of control and needs strong boundaries
    We’ve failed

People shouldn’t be afraid to tell the truth
It’s not right wing, it’s common sense

There’s a fine line between enforcing the law for the good of the people and abusing power for quashing any opposition.
IMHO Trump is crossing the line.
Yes he was elected, but so was Hitler - and Putin for that matter.
People may share his dislike of ‘woke’, but that doesn’t give him ‘Carte Blanche’ to smash anyone and anything he doesn’t like.
    He’s an extremely dangerous person.

I agree with you on the fact that law and, order based on respect, is the key to a secure future for most of us but how you reach that target is open to conversation by us all. Trump is playing the bully because that is the only way he knows but his methods are draconian in nature and scaring the heck out of most Americans and until such time as the people stand up and say NO he will continue his trek towards being a dictator. I think the two scenarios are totally different in the U.K and the U.S.A. and I saw the writing on the wall when I left for Canada, and since my departure each visit back to blighty made me fear for my country of birth as I could see it was being overloaded with immigrants from everywhere but the old Commenwealth as we knew it back in the sixties. Sanity needs to prevail otherwise we will all be vapourised. Keep your chins up folks and don't let the evils of our world get you down. <peacedove>
