Goalscorer tonight, Árni Frederiksberg, used work as a frozen pizza salesman during his semi-pro football career. Tonight will go down in Faroese football history. A fantastic result and statement. Winning 3 and losing 3 in the group stages so far, Faroe Islands sit 3rd, 4 points off top. They know they are extremely unlikely to go to the World Cup, but with games against Czechia (2nd) and Croatia (1st) to come, just imagine if they win both.

i passed through the Faroe Islands a couple of years back....... lovely part of the world... in summer! They had one little wood which was their national forest
