Do we know if anyone bar chiesa is stsying back?

Alisson is no use to us obviously.

Van dijk, gakpo and gravenberch matter. They play Thursday and Sunday. Not awful.

Macallister is out there to Tuesday at midnight so I hope he gains fitness at least.

France will assess konate and Ekitike will play 2 mins or whatever. Not great but hopefully they will be ok. Especially Mr konate.

Isak plays Friday and Monday. Again more match time helps I hope.

Bradley plays Monday also. He sould be injured easily.

Wirtz plays ni Monday as well.

Hungary are very very annoyingly playing Tuesday night so kerkez and szoboszlai will be ****ed.

Egypt play early so Sunday is mo's last game.

Some sides seem to be helping out club football and some seem very much into using their two weeks for as long as humanly possible

It's usually an unexpected team that ends another club's winning streak. Last time with us it was Burnley.

The story of the season so far seems to be late winners, in most cases, very late winners. I've got nothing against Palace but them losing to a late winner was quite satisfying in a weird way.

Very odd. Each to their own but would have thought much prefer palace to pick up points rather than Everton.

Not odd at all. I'd much prefer a team, any team, to take points off our rivals even if Palace are only rivals at the moment. The fact it was Everton makes no difference.

You're talking about a different meaning to the word rival. Everton and utd are historically our biggest rivals which is why games against them are always hotly contested no matter where they (or we) happen to be in the league. That will always be the case.

What won't always be the case is who our 'rivals for the title' are which is what my comment referred to. Those 'rivals' can change every season and at various points throughout the season. Everton haven't been one of those 'rivals' for a very long time and remain so this season. Palace, however, are the in form team and currently are rivals at the top of the table. They will never be a rival in the other sense like Everton and utd.

I will always want Everton to take points off our rivals at the top of the table. Whoever that happens to be. This week it was Palace in other weeks it will be Arsenal or city or Chelsea or Bournemouth or whoever is currently doing well in and around us at the top of the table.

Ok, odd in my opinion as palace are far from title rivals, especially 6 games into the season. I’d much rather they have beaten Everton

I agree, I don't think Palace are title rivals either.

Funny how things get portrayed in football.

    so far this season.

    Lfc
    played 10
    won 7
    lost 3
    drawn 0

    Arsenal
    played 10
    won 8
    lost 1
    drawn 1

Articles on lfc 3 weeks ago - going to walk the league. Winning games even when poor. Winning late sign of great mentality.

articles on Arsenal 3 weeks ago - not looking great. Better depth but lacking something. Too defensive not creative enough.

articles on lfc now - team in mini crises. Something not right. Lots of work to do. Slot under pressure.

articles on Arsenal now - made an impressive start to the season. Huge favs to do the double.

    Just to also note -
lfc loses, away to palace, Chelsea and galatasary.
Arsenal loses away to lfc and draw home to city.

Not really a huge amount in it even look at those games. All 3 lost to tough away games while Arsenal only one to drop points at home so far where as lfc 100% record.

    lfc league
    home 3 games3 wins
    away 4 games 2 win 2 defeats

    arsenal league
    Home 4 games 3 wins 1 draw
    away 3 games 2 wins 1 defeat

Good analysis. I actually prefer it when we're not being bigged up. We're not exactly flying under the radar but I'm happy for Arsenal to be under pressure rather than us.

agreed. A lot can change in two weeks.

Main point from my perspective is that we have not look at all balanced all season…..left or right, front, middle or back. I guess that’s what happens when you change 50% of the team.

Absolutely not. Everton are no overall threat at all to us, except for being irritating. Palace have beaten us twice this season already (albeit one of those was on pens), and not many would bet against them in the next round of the LC against us.
