I agree with you Gyabi was extremely. disappointing in fact if we have problems anywhere its the midfield. The way Jak plays which tend not to be the precison on the floor style of Rosenoir but more direct we need someone who make the long pass with accuracy. Somone of the Tom Huddlestone caliber. At the moment our midfield passing is atrocious. We are constantly giving the ball away.

Yeah, I have said that and it’s obvious Acun has picked signings personally. Again, what does that have to do with my post, weird ****?

No need for the insults and foul language.

Your claim that he didn't suit Walters or Selles style of play and presumably now Jakirovic's could be down to you being right and Acun bought him because he felt like doing so.

    I doubt it though. Knobhead.

Don’t be a smarmy **** fixing for an argument then. I said it was a weird signing and he hasn’t suited three head coaches’ way of playing. I didn’t mention Acun; you did.

I think Palmer’s alright tbh. He’s decent coming in for 20 mins in the that behind the striker role. He never actually gets an extended run in the side so never builds up any fluidity with the team.

Hopefully he resolves the issue with the gaffer as he offers something a bit different.

I find the situation a bit strange with what's actually been said and reported. There's very little concrete to go on. Sergei actually barely said anything of substance but sort of hinted at a problem with Palmer. I think that's a little bit poor to be honest because it invites people to pile on Palmer without anyone really knowing whether he deserves it. It sounds as though the local media people might know more about what's gone on but aren't saying it yet. Tomorrow's 1904 Club podcast will probably reveal more.

All that said though, I've never really got what the point is in Palmer. He's one of those about whom people always say "there's no doubting his talent" but I don't know why. It seems that his name comes with this reputation of being talented but I don't think he's ever shown any particularly notable talent for us. Compare his contributions to what certain other players have to do to have their talent acknowledged and it seems a bit unfair.

He’s a Koren-like player without Koren-like performances. Koren would often go quiet in games as he wasn’t an all-action midfielder but more often than not he popped up with a goal or assist.

Tufan was also profiled as that ‘lazy but technically-gifted number 10’ at times but I think Rosenior transformed him. By the end of his time with us, Tufan was more like Szoboszlai i.e. a hard-working midfielder who could score crucial goals.

I agree at the moment I would say the best long ball passer with accuracy in the team is Charlie Hughes.

I'd say our ball retention all over the park is not great atm.
I suspect it will get better as the season wears on.
Sheff Utd were a bit like Southampton. Just about every player so comfortable on the ball, and good at short quick pass and move football. But didn't get them far against us!
We have players who can ping a pass. Hughes obviously. Lundstram. Another goal on Saturday resulting from a lovely pinged cross out to Coyle from Amir (and a peach of a cross from Coyle).
