I did hear a couple of Brizzle supporters comment to some Rrrs fans walking along ‘you wouldn’t like to have Armstrong back would you?’ - they laughed and replied ‘no thanks!!’

Another player I really liked yesterday was Vale. He looks a player who is going to keep improving. Liked his drive to get forward and cross well (oh my how we’ve missed that). Weird thing is I felt like he was still holding himself back a little, like there’s more in his locker. I hope so, I can’t help but feel he is going to be an even stronger player for us going forward. Feels like we are building a good core of players and they are a good spirited unit too.

Just checked … still 6th! Would have taken that at this stage of the season for sure. Some tough games ahead after the break.

It’s been a long time since I’ve felt we had such a strong team with depth and options on the bench too. So strange to think that Chair might struggle to get back in a starting line up.

Good job we are a better team without the Midget Moroccan Magician Does nothing apart from shoot into the stands from the same spot on the pitch every match.
Supposedly our best player so why has nobody ever gone in for him, apart from MK Dons

Even though Smyth does have his fans, I find that QPR fans are still generally too critical of him.

It's almost as if some people judge players on the immediately obvious things first, like dribbling skill, turning players, making tackles (which he can actually do, although not as cleanly as others).

But that man Smyth MAKES THINGS HAPPEN whenever he's on the pitch. It may not look pretty but things always look more positive when he's on the pitch. He creates movement, he forces defenders to start flapping and working for their money, he wins free kicks to relieve pressure, he stretches the game.

He is literally one of our best assets. How many games have been turned around because of him?

Now think about Dembele. What does he manage to turn around? Smyth should be starting every game ahead of him.

I'd start Chair over Dembele any day of the week. Chair has plenty of quality, he just needs close coaching to improve his decision making. Chair being back will make the squad even stronger. Not the perfect player but can make things happen.

I'm really not a fan of Dembele, if it's not already clear! :cheesy: The poorest decision making, gets breathed off the ball, shoots at the moon. I'm failing to see what the point of playing him is. Totally the wrong league and style of football for him.

He carried the team for a long time and deserves a lot of respect. We’d be far worse off now without his contributions of the last few years.

Smyth was brought back from Orient where he developed after a loan spell there. Like Kelman. Interesting that the majority on here don't rate Smyth whereas many of those were drooling about Charlie Kelman based on one good season.

Such a shame that Charlton in Kelman's case and Brizzle in the case of Armstrong get to reap the rewards. Or not.

    Spot on

The way some of our fans talk about him you'd think that he'd contributed nothing over his time with us

Scored some great goals for us, and I could never doubt his desire to do his best for us. Indeed, in more than a few matches it seemed as though Chair was the only one of our team actually putting in some effort

Of course he's had some poor games, and his decision making hasn't always been the best, but he's certainly never going to make the QPR worst 11 of the last 5 years

    Very true

I think both clubs are really regretting not having a money back guarantee

    I did the same.
It's funny often the losing team (us included) often refer to such games as 'two poor teams'! Poor teams don't usually attain 6th spot and go on an unbeaten run.

I don't want to get ahead of myself but if we finish where we are now and there's a slight change above us, how satisfying would it be to beat Martis' Foxes and Fat Franks Coventry in the playoffs?

I wouldn't go as far as an apology Turks. He's still had more bad games than good ones. He's heading in the right direction now though

Very true, I seem to remember that Preston were also referred to as a poor team by many on here. They are doing alright at the moment.

You wrote him off as a professional footballer, Bob. Wouldn't you now say that was wrong?

I did too. I saw a player who seemed to have some talent but didn’t want to show it unless it was easy for him and didn’t involve him in any kind of physical exertion or contact. And I saw that game after game. Which was worse than seeing a **** player who was trying hard.

I don’t know what Stephan has done, aside from perhaps reading him the riot act, but he’s a lot better. Good, now, like the rest of the team, he has to keep it going.

I don’t think anyone was wrong, he was a liability last season, a waste of space, at times it was like playing with 10. He has marginally improved this season but still not pulling up trees or winning us games

He's had about 3 good games in 30. He's played well recently. I will reserve further judgement until he's played another 30.

I would start Chair and finish with Smyth.

    Smyth is a finisher.
    Every time a finisher
