Manning was poor last game too. Would like to see Jelert there.

 

Manning arguing with the AR while the ball is in play is inexcusable.

 

Not only that, but running 15 yards out of position to do it. I would be angry with that at under 10s!

 

Really enjoying Scienza. Very positive and direct.

 

Yeah going forward we’re doing well enough. But at the back far too casual. Worrying because Derby play the way most of this division plays.

 

Good honest Championship fare.

Is it a back 5 again?

 

It’s the issue with wing backs/full backs who aren’t the best defensively. Far too easy for teams to get crosses in and, as this is what they work on, only a matter of time before they make one count

 

I honestly think it's a mentality issue, we get the lead and retreat too far and let the oppo come on to us too much.
I've enjoyed the match though but we need to come out like we did at the start and keep going.

 

Bit disappointing that Stuart has apparently confirmed he's made of glass.

 

Yep. Or a 3 depending how you look at it. Or a different number depending on whether Dogface is busy arguing with a lino rather than playing the game.

I still think we'd have better control of a match with a back four, an extra body in midfield.

 

Exactly this. Every time the right wing attacks, Manning retreats into the box. There is zero pressure on the cross. On the other side, even little Fraser manages to make it difficult.

 

Yeah, it's gutting for the lad.

 

Was so pleased for him after Sheff U. He is a human being not a Drogba.

Hopefully he comes back soon, and hopefully expectations of games per week are cautious as a result.
