Brilliant win! We’ve missed Crooks. **** knows why McBurnie was subbed. Pandur partially redeeming his recent ****ness. Very important 3 points. I don’t think we were as bad as some are making out. Yes we still have a lot of improving to do. Let’s hope Lundstram not out too long.

The city of Sheffield is propping the rest of division up for at least 2 weeks now. Lovely stuff.

They'll feel hard done to but the way that all eleven on the pitch defended that slender lead deserved the win - they all stood up to be counted today. PS as much as it pains me to say, they won't stay bottom three.

Not a classic, but well done City, looked much better defensively, Hughes and Egan had great games as did Slater. Special mention for Pandur who saved the Pen.

They’ve still got real quality to come and control the ball. I don’t think we let them control the game, they rarely threatened us. I think we were unlucky not to have scored a few today. A really good battling performance against a very expensive side full of talented players, regardless of their current form.

They had a penalty, should have had another one, hit the post with the keeper beaten and had a goal line scramble that should have gone in, they could have won that at a canter.

We got a deflected goal and had a couple of half chances.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great three points against a side that have had the better of us in recent years but we got lucky today. Not to take away from the defence that had their best game since the opening day.

Their side is miles better than ours across the board so I’ll take a smash and grab all day.

Agree with this. We still struggle for control in midfield and retaining possession, the main reason we've conceded so many IMHO.

I love living in Sheffield anyway, but days like today it is ****ing brilliant. A Sunday morning of kids football tomorrow lording it over all the blades and owls fans. Lovely stuff

As for the match, held out well, they created little of note except for a v soft pen, and it prob was just a pen, compare that to us and I think we just edged it on chances.

ref annoyed me a few times but I actually thought he had a good game, let a fair amount of soft ones go for both teams, which makes it slightly baffling when he gives the equally soft ones.... but game flowed well enough.

Don't think going 3 at the back did us any favours, we lost our outlets on the wing and the protection at full back that they provided too, but who gives a **** first time in what 15 years or so we beat them at home? ****ing get in

Not a fan of those 82nd min subs, talk about inviting pressure , got away with it after penalty save . Pretty poor game all round I thought, still good to get one over them and 3 points is 3 points
