im watching the twisted tale of Amanda Knox. always difficult to know how much is dramatised and embelished for the TV. but its scary how words can be twisted by the press and it spreads around the world , all i remember from the story at the time is the phrase Foxy Knoxy.
Watching with interest Lambo as there is a connection to my wife's family. Her Grandfather was a butler at Mulgrave Castle near Sandsend/Whitby and Lord Normanby's wife there was a Guinness heiress, we've worked out that the old Lady Normanby's Grandfather was Edward Guinness the second brother in this TV series, enjoying it.
I remember when The Guinness Trust owned Warter Estate, I found Lord Normanby's dog after it ran off and he gave me a pound!
They did use to own Warter Estate, sold it to Malcolm Healey, Lady Normanby was called Grania Guinness, a Marquess and a Dowager Marchioness, which is high in the aristocracy. If you ever go past Sandsend up the hill the estate village to Mulgrave Castle is there called Lythe and my wife's grandparents lived in the Lodge house.

I watched the Netflix series on Matchroom - The Greatest Showmen. Really enjoyed it! I do enjoy seeing behind the scenes of all the big boxing events
Me too, was better than I thought it was going to be. The bits about darts, snooker and pool were interesting as well, and I'm not a big fan of any of those.
Loved Niven’s books about his life.Very entertaining. One biographer said he couldn’t find anyone with anything bad to say about him. The only thing was he could be unpleasant when he drank a lot of gin. But after someone told him he stopped drinking it. As an example he said that when he died there was a large wreath from the porters at Heathrow Airport, normally a hard faced lot. A taxi driver said that once he had gone 2 or 3 miles when Niven told him to turn around as he had forgotten to tip the porter. The sort of thing which showed why he was regarded with affection. He was at the height of his career in Hollywood when WW2 started but ditched to return home as he said he wouldn’t have been able to live with himself if he didn’t. Agree with what you said about Parkinson. The audience were interested in what the guests had to say and just gently coaxed the. A lesson a lot of modern day hosts should learn. It is why all the top stars were happy to appear on his show.
Just getting into S2 of an AppleTV offering - Silo, I really enjoyed S1 and after just watching the first Ep of S2 it looks like it's going from really enjoyable to, ''I'm really gonna hammer these next 9 episodes out!! it's a slow burner but well worth the watch, Rebecca Ferguson is brilliant + Tim Robbins plays a real ruthless/psycho Mayor.
