And do you think Arsenal/Chelsea should be unhappy/Happy drawing them in the last 16?

That's ALWAYS their excuse Drogs. The opposition were never good: "we were crap".

They weren't just crap at finishing. They were crap FULL STOP, or period as Bluff would say.

Who cares? You're out of the CL and we're not.

Also, by your logic, you lost 6-1 to City at home, we beat them 2-1 so therefore you must be a lot worse.

Typical glory's opinion mate, I'm sure the true United fans will agree Basle were just the better team.

Hopefully with the second leg at the Bridge we should be Ok.

United had to play their 'second leg' away.

I'm a 'true United fan' and if you like it or not the reason we went out WAS down to us being poor - unless you are trying to tell me United at their best are worse than Basle at their best ?

i thought basle played well in the last game against united even though united were poor - was surprised with how confident basle were on the ball and were good technically - keeper was very impressive

Agreed. Arrogance and underestimating them lead to UNited's downfall

Ah, good to see everyone's getting along <ok>

I reckon out of the runners up, Basle are more dangerous than CSKA and Zenit, and possibly also more than Marseille. But easier than Bayer, Lyon, Napoli and Milan. If Chelsea or Arsenal come up against them then they should go through, but don't underestimate Shaqiri and the Freis. If you play poorly then Basle have the quality to knock either of you out imo, but then so do all the teams at this stage.

isn't that why ye went out? complacency

it WAS 2 0, not a smash and grab, and Rooney only missed because the pass was not good enough, it stopped in the mud

<ok> The same applied to united. Basel are a decent team and punished us efficiently, but at our best they wouldn't have knocked us out.

I dont see how that is arrogant.

Yes it was. They scored with their only two chances while we dominate, have far more shots and can only score 1 = Smash and grab victory. Doesn't have to be 1-0 for that.

All I was saying is that if you dont turn up they'll take you out. I think arsenal should fear them more than chelsea for some reason.

And yeah, should have done better against them but ye didn't, I remember we went there expecting a win and were 3 down in 30 minutes:)
