What makes you think that they would sign extensions if they were surplus to requirements? Surely they’d still refuse and run down their contracts? Also difficult to sell a player (Bamford) if nobody wanted to buy him for cash.
Plus what would be the point of a short extension if they are not good enough which they clearly were not. Leeds are a football team and need to make decisions on that basis. We are not a fecking charity for sub standard players.
