Off Topic Brexit has made living in France impossible ...

That's all fair enough mate and I'm not saying it's to get at us, just a pain after living there so long without it all.

Have you noticed any of this attitude mate, I hope not but it's what concerned us a little. This must be very worrying if you're a Brit expat with a bar in these places.

We've now had many years after Brexit and it's been a total disaster, never mind how France, Greece or Germany are doing. That doesn't help and our 'immense benefits' weren't based on any of that.
Farage boasted that Brexit would be an absolute Godsend, then blamed the Tories and Labour when it wasn't.

Now he's claiming he has all the answers and the means to make Britain great again ...

... but chooses not to tell anyone how, yet people say they'll vote for him.

This. If we had growth the size of the losses we’ve had from Brexit people would say we’re booming and Reeves is a genius. If we had migration the levels we had pre Brexit people would say we’d smashed. Let’s not be stupid eh? Let’s just get it back and go back in. I noticed Burnham said he’d do it. I don’t think Starmer has the knackers to tax wealth and go back in to the EU, so I hope we end up with Burnham or Starmer grows some.

 

Evidently France outperformed us economically last year , some benefit getting Brexit done was , The European Union needs to become The Common Market again , Andy Burnham or someone else will oust the Quisling Party Splitter in the next twelve months , the sooner the better imo.

 

People voted for a common market for trade not a Ponzi scheme it became.

 

To be honest I've absolutely no idea what people voted for, I don't think they do either.

 

Mate of mine voted Remain, not because the EU is perfect, but because it was ok and the alternative was so unclear. The biggest thing he dislikes about the EU is its yearly accounts haven't been signed off for decades.

 

Almost, but Blackadder was a comedy and Farage isn’t.

 

People voted Leave for lots of different reasons, some anti unfettered immigration, others against being a net funder of the EU, some for ownership of fisheries, some for domestic sovereignty and some just reacting against project fear of the no campaign and from the EU - plus permutations of all of these.

I also think some on the cusp may have been convinced to vote leave as a scare to the EU to give Britain a better deal. I guess they could only do this because the polls were so sure the result was going to be a No.

I guess many Leave voters only did so because of things like being told there would be no detrimental impact to Northern Ireland or our internal borders plus our PM and Chancellor said they would stay whatever the outcome of the referendum so we would still have stable government. Instead they quit and we got **** show Tory politicking and a division of the internal market across the Irish Sea.

 

Oh yes the famous "Brexit". I voted to stay but the "Brexiteers" won by 51% to 49% in a landslide victory. I haven't taken much notice since. Can anybody bring me up to speed on it? Has mass immigration stopped, has the economy boomed like they said it would? Oh, and I nearly forgot, are we giving the NHS that £350 million a week they promised?

Mass immigration of EU citizens to the UK has pretty much stopped, but EU citizens that were already here have a right to remain so it might not look much different out on the streets, especially as we must get about 1k per day arriving via small boats - enough that HMG have even lodged a fair few in my small town in North Wales (either that or they are tourists who are visiting after watching Welcome to Wrexham!)
