    Disagree

    He scored
But the rest of his passing and final ball was ****
He ruined many of their attacks
And he was destroyed by our left side in the second half

Obviously we are still not a done deal as a team but to have McBurnie top of the Championship Goal scorers chart and Giles top of the Assists chart (Mcburnie in second place) aint nothimg to be sniffed at. Glad Giles seems to have his mojo back and long may it continue.

Morning all just about to cobble together a match blog, the bizarre thing about last night, I enjoyed the second half more than our cake walk in the first. Good to see Liam Millar approaching full fitness again, was a top lad with us.

I’m sure I’ve got a post where I basically said McBurnie was ****e. So I’ve already put on 4 stone in humble pie servings and my face is continually egg-stained.

I don’t think PNE could even compute how utterly ****e we were in that first half – we were so bad - I think it actually helped unprepared PNE for the second.

Heartening to see our fight back in the second half - not to mention a restoration of a form of professional pride.

That 28 from them was one of the best strikers I’ve seen at our place for a while, movement and touch was excellent. He was sharp an all.

Also a shout out to Stuart McCall. His hair is absolutely wonderful still despite his age.

But we still looked a bundle of nerves in defence when he put a couple of crosses in 2nd half

Their first goal Palmer stayed up for the corner, then decided to come back, bringing Small with him. Resulting in him scoring the goal. I think someone politely reminded Giles and co the bloke doesn’t have a right foot, and second half we just let him keep shanking it Beresford style.

As some have said, if Ajayi is fit I'd have him in next to Hughes, he seemed a calming Influence on all the defence when we played Cov, think that's what required, someone who can talk and organise without being a headless chicken.

I missed the Southampton game, but how did Amir and Lundstrum play together. That’s the only half I’ve seen them play together, and frankly it seems they can’t be in the same side.

I didn't understand why Palmer went back. When he stayed up, I thought at least we have someone to clear the ball to - something I've always wanted us to do.

Amir was nothing special. He wouldn't be in the team ahead of Crooks - and when Slater came on last night he was instantly a better foil for Lunny than Amir is

It also allowed Lundstram to drop a bit deeper and into the 'quarterback' role, I personally think that's his best position for us

I felt for Giles last summer. He signed on a perm and we blatantly wanted to shift him. Baz then kept putting stuff out (no doubt at the request of the club) that he wanted to leave, which felt incredibly harsh as the lad never actually downed tools or anything.

Then we never played to his strengths and he got slated for it. Whereas now we have a manager who plays to his strengths and he's absolutely thriving.

Yet again Slater looked great off the bench. He always does, where an injection of energy makes a difference. He then starts and looks absent. Rinse and repeat no doubt on Saturday.

Hopefully he stays in his impact player role as he's great at it.

Palmer wasn’t sure where to go and was eventually told by someone to mark a PNE player just outside the box. Small was on his own on our left, the whole time. I pointed him out before the free kick was taken, nobody seemed aware he was there.
