I see there’s a few championship clubs trying to get Tom on loan this January.

Agree, not in January anyway. The players will see this season out and see where we are in May. However, I think Neil,Cirkin and the half a dozen or so who are not currently part of the first team picture could well go. January will be a selling month for us overall imo. I can see Lucumi and maybe a striker coming in...not much more than that.

Not sure that’ll be the case with Isidor, Mayenda and Brobbey already here

Depends on how many goals they get imo. Given that two of them can play wide and come inside, a top striker may be added. Mind you,I'm not ruling Brobbey out. He could come good for us yet.

TBR Football understands Sunderland will explore the possibility of selling Dennis Cirkin in the winter transfer window.

Sources have informed TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey that Cirkin is increasingly unlikely to extend his contract at the Stadium of Light, and Sunderland are expected to cash in on the defender in January.

Bailey states: “On the chopping block, definitely. He’s seen two left-backs come in ahead of him this summer — Masuaku and Reinildo. As we’ve written previously, Cirkin is on Tottenham’s radar. He would fill a homegrown player slot, and Spurs like him regardless — he’s had real progression.

“Sunderland have also seen a few of their homegrown talents — the players who helped them get promoted — sidelined slightly. Cirkin is one of them; Dan Neil is another.

“Given the situation, I’d be surprised if Cirkin committed to a new deal, especially knowing he’s got interest elsewhere. He was arguably the best left-back in the Championship last season, but now he’s not getting regular games, and he’s had the odd injury.

“I don’t see a new contract in the offing for him right now. I could see a January deal, though, just to make sure Sunderland get some money for him.”

No suprise really. I hope be can manage to stay fit at his next club and fulfil his potential.

Two loans. Probably a midfielder and a winger just to add some depth and alternatives. Permanent signings of younger players. Preferably homegrown if possible as we need to get some added to make the numbers medium term. Make an exception for a homegrown left footed winger for big money. Basically make an offer for Amad:emoticon-0102-bigsm

I think focus could be on a left footed winger, possibly another midfielder and possibly another centre half. apart from that I can see us signing a few unknowns/prospects and the rest will be focused on selling and forward planning for next year - regardless of which league

Doubt Amad happens in Jan because he’ll be away at afcon and united will want silly money.

definitely see us going back in for Lucumi and offering them 10-15 for him or else they lose him for Nowt in summer because we can agree terms.

Would like another midfielder if Neil goes too, preferably in the mould of Xhaka.

Wonder if we go back in for Yilmaz at Galatasary as a versatile attacker.
