hes never had a cap hes not going to have one after playing 2 months in 14 months is he he has caps for algeria a, which is the domestic league team
The difference is that Belloumi clearly improves us when he's in the team. Sinik didn't. Not to say he couldn't have done without the injury problems, but in the few games he played he looked ever so slightly above average at best. Belloumi actually looks like he could be a top player if he stays fit.
Truthfully, we don't know if a fit Sinik could have improved us or not. Technically he possibly could have, but because he was made of straw we shall never know. But Acun was totally had on that one. Plenty of others too. Interesting that Ozan came up again in pre season apparently. He's one that did work out when he finally adjusted. Not sure he's the answer now though. Probably looking at another year to get him to champ fitness again and he ain't getting any younger
It's his ankle, think he did it against Oxford. I didn't see it but my dad said it was a shocking tackle.
He came off injured near the end of the Oxford game, it was hoped he'd be available tomorrow, but it seems he's not (I've not seen anything to say he has another injury, he's just not going to be in the squad tomorrow).
Belloumi has a hamstring strain, not a tear. Having a scan tomorrow to assess his progress and will be out for a month or so.
It's expected that strain injuries occur when someone's coming back from 11 months without playing. If it persists into next year or his previous injury recurrs then maybe you'll be justified in saying so, but at the moment its a bit premature. Expect setbacks with Millar and Matazo too.
