Not his fault Tino literally got injured two minutes later. You even says at the time it was positive and it was.
The only time I can remember them working was an accident.

Subs should be made tactically and one here or there in most cases... It's whether they work.

You're right on this GG...if you search howes in game management it's clear its not reactionary based on today.
