A step in the right direction, starting from the back mainly. I agree that we lost a little control in the second half and Flynn on for Azaz would've shored things up a bit after we scored. We are still experimenting but I think we are on the right track now and were a bit unlucky with the deflection for their goal and i'm much happier with the energy, desire and commitment shown in the last two matches against two good teams.
You don’t have to be in the top six all season to be in the playoffs. You need to get to 70 points* That’s 63 from 39 games….. 1.6 per game from here. *On average
We'd be in the bottom 3 had we not turned it round against Wrexham FFS. It's a woeful start to the season and I'm sick and tired of watching a team who can't win games.
He's sorted the defence I feel and the intent and pressing from the players is better, just need the attacking side of things to click now, I think he's on the right track.
Shea Charles player of the season… for Sheffield Wed lol. Azaz did nothing in his first few games when he signed for Boro. Fellows was excellent today, but we were up against the top team. Just be patient. Today was a huge improvement.
He is the first manager in a long time to see some of the main guys are ineffective and replace them.
Well all I see is turgid, pedestrian, directionless football from a team with double the budget of 90% of our competitors who invested over £50m in the window. We are just shy of the drop zone and deservedly so. Our strikers are, to a man, dreadful. We have zero creativity, have collective amnesia about passing early, accurately or into a teammate's stride. We lack leadership and attitude and still seem to worship at the altar of tippy tappy at the back, to the extent that when the three minutes of added time were shown, we spent fully two of them doing just that. It's just sooooo painful to watch.
Get a grip. Today was a good game of football from both sides, which if anything, we slightly edged. I have no idea what there is to be so negative about.
