Please can we all agree now: IF McCarty makes a howler is it his fault for being crap, or Will Still’s fault for picking him? Just so we can have a less bickery and more streamlined meltdown
Formation is a bit of an illusion in some ways. If we dominate the ball it will three at the back, with Fellows and Manning playing high up the pitch. If we don’t then it will be a hard game.
Putting your best striker as a full back would be far more mental than putting Fellows (who has played wingback in his career) there
Tbh, he's trying something new which he has to do because the team hasn't been good enough in the league so far. i'm intrigued to how we will shape up at 3pm.
Well, you can't say that Still won't drop players we all thought would be "un-droppable". Not against playing the same formation that we did vs Liverpool, especially given that Middlesbrough have yet to lose in the league.
One thing it does say is 'none of you are safe and you may not be playing next week' unlike Russball.
Yes, that’s true. I was thinking he might do something at GK/CB today because he’s repeatedly bemoaned shooting ourselves in the foot defensively and Baz, Jack and THB are the common denominators. If you keep letting it happen then you are culpable
WS was talking about playing different formations in and out of possession in his press conference, so I reckon you might’ve nailed it here
Fellows, Jander and Scienza. Azaz to a lesser extent but still happy with him coming in. The rest, didn’t need them.
